A bit of a random one maybe, but I was wondering what others' favourite flowers are?

I like: Red or very deep pink ROSES, or indeed roses in just about any colour except white (white flowers are considered "unlucky").

I used to work at a garden centre - i've had enough of flowers for a lifetime.

I bought my mum a weird cactus thingy out of Ikea on Sunday though. She likes odd things, so it seems to fit into the house quite well. It wouldn't look out of place on one of the cardboard sets on Star Trek.

So I'll say that I like cacti (sp?). And Venus Fly Traps - they are cool!

I'd like to work at a Garden Centre. I love the botanic gardens in west end of Glasgow.. love the smell of the hot-houses.

I like odd things too, which will probably come as no surprise (ha ha). I got a cactus in Paisley from the B&Q some time back. It was the only one left over in the garden section, which is why I picked it up and took it away. I remember feeling very pleased at rescuing something, which then proceeded to attack me at the check-out. I'd put my hand over it tho'

I like dark red roses too, also lilies and orchids.

Stargazer lilies and Bianca roses are my favourite "florist" type flowers - I also love lily-of-the-valley and sweet peas. For me the fragrance is as important as the flower. I lie Kendra's californian poppies though, that is a lovely picture.

california poppies are amazing. in spring the state seems to be covered with them.

blue roses scare me.

I like the more shiny blue but I think its nice for a change. Coming from the Red Rose county those are also nice.

Mr Yudster surprised me when he chose our wedding flowers, as he as the one who picked the Bianca white roses - his allegiance is always Lancashire, so I was shocked, until he told me it was for his grandad who was born in Leeds. But the most important thing about any rose is the perfume really.

That is wrong.

I was attacked by a vicious gang of nettles while I was away. I was removing some twigs from the ground (to burn) when I was jumped by these horrible green things.

Nettles. They wear hoodies.

My arm hurts still when I talk about it.

i love a good cup of nettles tea i dunno if it was from when i was in the scouts (ah the fun we had) which is incidently where i broke my first bone which is a hobby ive kept up since and which stands at 2 bones a year lol but
