Aww, It looked interesting! Was it actually going to be a thread on Fraggle rock or a tedious link to another subject
(Fraggle rock, Rocks are stones, stones rhyme with Scones, You have jam and clotted cream on scones, clotted cream comes from cows, as does beef, beef can be turned into ham burgers, which are sold at MacDonalds, Macdonalds Logo is the Golden Arches, you have arches on your feet, you also wear shoes on your feet, these can be velcro or laced, so... the obvious question is -

Do you single or double knot your shoes?????

:D

It was gonna be something funny about stuff that always seems to happen to me when the choon to "fraggle rock" gets played on the radio, unfortunately I'm not really gonna be able to pull off the humour I think, as this is my "bad week". Unfortunately, it will also give cons. a chance to whine about it, and call me "not rational". But, too late, I, for a change, am in first!!

I single knot my shoes, btw, zoot the floot. :-)

Shall we have the argument about whether "stones" actually does rhyme with "scones"?

It doesn't. You also don't pronounce 'gone' as 'own' with a g in front, do you.

*Puts the can opener away after yet again opening this old can of worms...*

Ok, lets settle this - I was brought up in a place where a pint of Orange Juice and lemonade is called a "pint of Enry", the crusty bit on the end of a loaf of bread is called a "Knobby" and the word "Scone" is pronounced to rhyme with the word "Stone". All this totally depends on where you grew up and what you were taught and I'm sure we are all aware of it, ok?

Oh, and 'Erbs has a * 'H' in it...

Yeah but it's good to have an argument about it every now and again.

Why do Americans always want to pronounce English words as though they are French? Like "erbs" for herbs, and "sontimetre" for centimetre? Do they think it makes them sound more - well, I don't know what really!

And I always say scone as in "cone", but when people say "scone" as in "gone", they still taste really nice, especially with jam and clotted cream.

I wonder what would happen is we locked Console and Viv in a room together. I'm not sure which would be more likely to survive.

Nope, but it does to rhyme with Gone, and to be honest, thats the point.

Or you could get on really REALLY well and breed a load of Viv-soles, who would do your bidding and create and mod forums all over the world that have random names that have nothing to do with their content...
