Having spent most of today suffering from the effects of drinking more alchohol than doctors would recommend you drink in a month let alone one night, what are your cures for a hangover? They dont normally affect me much, but today was a right cracker, i tell you!

So - is it drink plenty of vitiman c? Drink a pint of water before you go to bed? Get a fry up in you? Pain killers? Or simply, don't drink as much the night before ya fool!?! You're 25 and should know better!

I saw a thing in tesco claiming to be a hangover cure - it was basically a really sugary drink. Do they work?

ahh, poor sole. I say chips, cheese and gravy!! Only messing. If you have the day free from work etc I find the hair of the dog works best. Have a couple more, but slowly and spaced out over the day. Numbs the pain a bit and lets you get through the day. That pair cider worked a treat for me.

More drink. Failing that, the greasiest fry-up you can muster.

Top Marks. I used to go out with this girl and after a hard night (VAT 19 Rum & coke) her dad ALWAYS had a dirty big fry and for some reason always washed it down with a large bacardi and coke. Strangely, he would never drink bacardi any other time, said he hated it!

My hubbie swears by fruit pastilles and coke (but he says it has to be full fat coke) Personally I recommend loads of fluids, fried food and as much sleep as you can get.

Keep hydrated, keep your blood sugar up and sleep if you are in a position to do so - won't cure you, but it will keep the length of suffering to a minimum.

No, even we don't understand it - its orange and tastes like nothing else on earth. But see if you get a decent bottle (yes, you do get good and bad bottles - same with Coke) its amazing.

And as blackie says - its made in Scotchland from girders!

Don't you know it's one of those ads?
Lots of kids with white teeth and giant shoulder pads.
It's not a drink from those crazy yanks
Because it's made right here, you know it's tougher than tanks!

Made in Scotland from girders.
Unpronouncable too!
Made in Scotland from girders.
It's called Barr's, Irn Bru!?

'Til the day is feeling quite fun
If you see a hit single go to Number One.
The only fly in the ointment, Irn Bru's that claim:
Made in Scotland from girders.

There goes your chance of fame
It's a bit of a shame

I had one of those WKD Iron Bru or some such nonsense (I was very drunk already and it was bought for me) and it made me vomit*

* The previous 12 pints went down fine.
