Oooh, s4b, I know he's been bad but I'm not sure Console quite deserves that kind of punishment!

There's no humour in this that I can see.

Nope, I'm the light-hearted number. You're the pedantic piece, with a head packed full of logical processes! :-) I'm here to throw cyber spanners into your neat and tidy existence :-)

Speaking of cakes which aren't cakes (well we were ages ago in this thread) - I have long been a believer that Rice Cakes are the invention of Satan, and giving them to your children as an alternative to proper snacks (as many middle class (look at me I'm a good mother" mothers do) is tantamount to child abuse. I never thought I would find something which makes the Rice Cake pale into insignificance in the ranks of "Revolting Things Called Cake That Aren't", but I have. It looks like thick cheap cardboard, the type of thing that is used for compartmentalising cardboard boxes, and it tastes like compressed wood chippings with a little salt added. I am, of course, talking about The Oatcake. I can't believe that anyone could actually derive pleasure from eating these discs of papier mache masquerading as food - I think its a plot by the Scotch to poison people.

No. No, they are not. The cheese or pate may be nice, but neither has magical power to elevate the Oatcake itself to the rank of Edible.

It was a poisoning party obviously, you weren't dreaming of oatcakes, you were dreaming of homicide.

*too much chocolate.

I've just worked out what you are talking about here.

I originally wrote "Ant oatcakes are nice with cheese or pate". I then thought that "Ant Oatcakes" sounded rather minging, so I was going to leave the spelling mistake in and crack a joke about it. I then progressed further with my thoughts and decided that it really wasnt that funny at all, so I corrected the spelling mistake to "and oatcakes are...".

However, in my haste, I left the now redundant (*). Of this, I apologise.

Oatcakes rule!

Just like the recent weetabix advert where they put chocolate and icecream.. on a weetabix

No they aren't, you're wrong.
