I would replace the BBC adaptation of Pride and Prejudice, The Muppets Christmas Carol, The Channel Four film of A Christmas Carol with Patrick Stewart, and Its a Wonderful Life. Apart from the P&P, all Christmas stuff. I wonder why that is?

I only have football games and Phoenix Nights on DVDs. I cant watch films over and over I just get bored. Other than Notting Hill which is a gem every time.

I would feel the need to replace only one of my videos... (I don't really have many DVDs.... only really the free ones that come in the papers. Anyway, the only film I'd miss would be Big Trouble in Little China..... and anyone who says otherwise..... is wrong.

oh, that puts my mind at ease. i don't want somebody to accuse me of being pedantic due to my vocabulary. anything else is fair game.
i keep thinking about buying little britain on dvd, but i think youtube makes that pointless.

Actually the Extras on the Little Britain DVD are really good, especially series 2 and 3, which is wierd since the show declines in quality overall in those series

Does any one watch Still Game ? It was on last night and another corking episode, I really think that this show is the best on TV at the moment. Last week playing operation in the dark, this week the trials of a Pizza Delivery boy. The best episode was from the last series when the chap kicks his leg out the flat window, oh and when they get stuck on a boat in a Glasgow canal ! Foots man what is your view on this, it seems well done and funny, any qualms about stereo typing Scotts here ?

It is possibly the funniest thing i have ever watched and its vastly under-rated.

As far as stereotyping the Scots, the thing is that the banter in the pub is exactly what its like.

Last nights episode was brilliant - you could see that last gag coming a mile off (through the window), but it was still worth it!

More realistic than Rab C Nesbitt then?

really? i'm not surprised that you like it, s4b, but gaspode? hmmm. i just can't get behind any julia roberts vehicle. she rubs me the wrong way and i don't think she's a particularly good actress.

The commitments is a great film, best sound track ever also I think.

I am glad Foots rates Still Game, when you watch and enjoy a program without discussing it, you can kind of think that you are in a minority, So I say to everyone then that Still Game Thursday Night at 10, best thing on TV, when Top Gear isn't on, obviously

The banter in the Pub is the same in any working class area I think also.

Rather than start a new thread, I figured I would just revive this one.

A heads up - if anyone watches The Sopranos, the final half of series six is starting on E4 on Sunday at 10pm. It doesnt appear to be showing on Channel 4 at the moment.

I am another person who buys more tv series than I do films on dvd. the things I would be particularly keen to replace would be:

Friends seasons 1 and 2
Frasier seasons 1-8
Seinfeld seasons 3-9
Black Books, all of 'em
Father Ted, again all of 'em
Green Wing

stand up comedy ones: all the Ross Noble, Bill Bailey, Eddie Izzard and Dave Gorman stuff

films: Easy Rider
Trainspotting
Wayne's world
Edward Scissorhands
Pulp Fiction
my Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn box sets

I'm definitely getting into Ross Noble, I must get some DVDs, I assume you would agree since he's on your list of first things you'd replace? Has he been to your theatre?
