First match of the season on Saturday - we are away at Sheffield United. I will be happy with a draw to be honest, we lost all our best players over the summer - and bought Teddy Sheringham! He's even older than me!!!!

Went behind twice, equalised twice - at least we now know we can still score goals without Iwelumo and Cureton. I'm quite happy with that.

On the down side Beattie scored against you which is a source of shame. Great result for Blackpool.

Our game was dull but we got the job done.

Excellent to have the return of Gilette Soccer Saturday, boy I've missed it. Great result for Sunderland, I was expecting them to get shafted. Also, correct me if I'm wrong but haven't Chelsea played a promoted team in their first game for the past 3 seasons or so? Jammy gits.

As if Reading parking the bus wasn't enough, Rooney has a hairline fracture in his left foot. Ah well, at least there is Tevez but Man U blatantly need another striker, there is no way Saha will stay fit for the season.

Yes they blatently need another striker what with winning the league last season with pretty much the same squad plus millions of pounds worth of new players. Its one game in stop being a big woman.

And pay me my tenner.

Too true. I'm surprised Martin O'Neill hasn't been sacked as I doubt he can recover from this.

And Ferguson must be sacked after that 0-0 at home. Plus Martin Jol and Sammy Lee and Chris Hutchins..

In fact Chris Hutchins probably should.

Newcastle looked like they could cause some problems this season. Not my favourite team, but I like Big Sam. The pisser is that I decided not to have Obafeme Martins, my first choice, in my fantasy team because of all the speculation that he would be leaving for Italy or Spain. Fool that I am.

I reckon Newcastle and Man City will be pushing the "big four" this season. Alas the seagulls got off to a poor start, but it's a marathon not a sprint.
