What was number one the day you were born?

I have an obscure one unfortunately

Dave & Ansil Collins - Double Barrel

Fortunately it was their only number one!

From memory, as it's in my biography, it was Sister Sledge - Frankie, although I can't say I remember the song at all.

I like that song and in the video isn't it about a postman or something?

The Number 1 single was:
Partners In Kryme - "Turtle Power"
The Number 1 album was:
Elton John - "Sleeping With The Past"

Culture Club - Karma Chameleon. My mum bought it for the very reason that it was number one the week I was born.

Band Aid II - "Do They Know It's Christmas?"

Not brilliant but it's not too bad

Coincidently Kathy Sledge from sister sledge (who were mentioned by console - get the link?) has the same birthday as me

The fact that I remember many of these songs clearly is making me feel old. You know who Seal is, don't you Lottie? He sang on Killer.

I know mine already - Down Down by Status Quo. Rock on! :)

Hmm, Walter's site gives different info to mine when i put in my birthday - instead offering A Good Heart by Feargal Sharkey. However since I was born on a Sunday these were both number one. WHICH DO I BELIEVE...?!

For all sorts of reasons, I am horrified to find that number one on my birthday in the singles chart was Gerry and the Pacemakers, You'll Never Walk Alone. Number one in the album charts was Please Please Me by The Beatles (before they got too up themselves).

The first time You'll Never Walk Alone was performed in a football ground, it was Old Trafford. Bastard Kopshites copied. Actually, they're welcome to it, beautiful song, ripped out of context and ruined by Gerry and the Pacemakers.

Triviatastic.

The Number 1 single was:
Irene Cara - "Fame"

The Number 1 album was:
Original Soundtrack - "Fame"

but on the plus side, Chris Cornell and Carlos Santana are musicians I share my birthday with.
