now you see we can just harvest guys sperm once they can produce it and do away with them, we don't need men but men need us for the perpetuation of the species. Mind you not as much fun! ;)

Hmm, maybe. Although his/her gender is in doubt - I'd say someone so obsessed with things coming to an end is hard to envisage being female.

Don't worry, science will render you're gender obsolete soon as well

Actually, it would be scientifically possible to create a sperm-like cell from a female cell (it may even have been done already), so as to do-away with the need of males all together; it would, due to genetics, mean that only females are born. On the other hand of course, an artificial womb is an entirely conceivable concept and so men could do away with women as well, although as you stated, it wouldn't be as much fun.

However, relying on any form of technology for the continuation of a species is a very bad idea, and reducing the gene pool in such a way is probably a worse idea.

Poll fixed S4B. Is that OK Kendra?

quite.

gbm wrote:Reasons boys are better than girls, or rather the disadvantages of being a girl:
1. pregnancy and the pain it brings
2. ladies time of the month
3. all things associated with ladies time of month - e.g. the need to purchase those which boys do not
4. mood swings
5. having to buy bra's
5.a. Itchy nipples and trying to scratch them without alerting anyone
6. Being stereotyped as being the weaker sex
7. Having builders shouting at you
8. Having *some* men stare at parts of your body that you may not want them to
9. Worries about weight
10. Feeling the need to have too many shoes, handbags, purses and outfits
11. Being part of a rather technophobic gender (for the majority imo)
12. Often having to put hair into a 'style' or special 'hair do'
13. Having to purchase hair accessories and bobbles and things
14. Longer hair drying times (not taking hair dryers into account)
15. Make up
15.a. Mascara and the dangers that it brings to eyes!
15.b. Make up kits in handbags
16. High heels (nuff said)
17. Often carrying round huge handbags full of junk
17.a. loosing stuff in handbag and having to chuck all the stuff out on a table to find something
17.b. Dropping stuff out of handbag in the street (more specifically embarrassing stuff)
18. Often being those lumbered with house chores - cooking cleaning etc
18.a. often being the one who has to look after the kids and keep the house in ship shape
19. Going to the toilet with a group of others (what the hell is that all about anyway?)
20. Often being the ones whose family pays for the most of a wedding (or rather that whole tradition thing of the brides family paying - probably not around anymore but hey ho)

Anyway, in summary, boys are the best because I am one.
Chris/Console, I think we can close this thread now, there's nothing more to discuss on the subject.

It makes me laugh how when it suits them many females that I know take the 'oh, it's so difficult being female, you males have it so easy' stance, but also when it suits them you get the contrasting view: 'it's great being a woman, don't you just love it, I don't envy you blokes.'

I think that if you have a feel between your legs and find a kind of hole arrangement with a little lumpy bit near the front (write that down lads) that feels kind of nice when you touch it, its better to be a woman. If you find anything else, its probably better to be a man.

I have a hole arrangement with a little lumpy bit at the front between my legs, but I'm pretty sure I'm not a woman...

Toph I did say it's harder to be a woman but it is also better to be a woman. Easy does not necessarily mean good!

For example

Prostitute = easy lay for man
Wife = harder lay but costs you nothing!

I am going to regret this but doesn't a wife cost quite a bit too? - marriage (+ all the rings), possibility of kids - therefore possibly bigger house, I wouldn't call them cheap but then again I don't have a wife

In my experience husbands spend more money than men. Boys have more expensive hobbies - cars, computers, sports etc. Women tend to be more selfless in their purchases and spend to the enrichment of the family unit rather than for selfish purposes.

Nagging?
Like you don't go and on, or anything?

I am glad I am a female because:

1. I am allowed to be emotional in society : I could sit in a mountain of tears and people would just put it down to me being female.
2. I get to wear make-up, which I like, although it's very subtle ... if you took my black mascara away from me, I think I may die.
3. I like having my quite long, just beyond shoulder length hair.

I am not glad because:

1. Females are considered "second class" in society, which is ridiculous, because I am a person too.
2. Females are judged so much on how they look : you can't seem to have an "off day" as a female, whereas it seems ok for guys to go out looking like s***.
3. I don't like p.m.t.
4. I don't like the fact that you seem to have to smile a lot if you are female: being the difficult little individual that I am, I don't buy into this rule, and if I want to be cross, I am cross.

I am still glad I am female, despite lots of stuff, and I couldn't really live without men (despite a lot of stuff).
