I haven't. Like Gaspode, I can't remember the last time I was ill; I've never had flu in my life.

I currently hve the worst tonsillitis I have ever had in my life. I have swollen glands in places I never knew I even had places.

People who get colds and flus and the like are weak of mind.

When I was a kid I used to get it all the time - my mum says I was on antibiotics 50% of the time, although I don't remember it being as bad as that. These days, not so much - I get sore throats but they're mostly viral, and ignorable - I've had tonsillitis about three times in the last ten years I reckon. I don't think I've ever had flu - but I'd have passed the ten pound note test on Sunday and Monday - in fact I wouldn't have cared if it had been a fifty.

When it was appropriate to do so, it was medically unfashionable. And nowadays - well, like I said, three times in ten years? I'll take my chances. Especially as I've heard they don't give you ice-cream afterwards now, they make you eat dry toast instead. Scratchytastic.

Snails, or any other kind of mollusc, looks too much like eating big lumps of snot. I have worked in a tuberculosis testing lab, working with phlegm samples. Oysters are a definite no-go area.
