What do you do to chillax?

Or, what would be your ideal thing to do, if you had lots of time to spare, or won the lottery?

(NB: chillax = chill out and relax - chillax is my new word which I discovered in a book over the weekend). Genius.

If I had lots of spare time I would find and give a swift quick to anyone that uses the pseudo-word 'chillax', and other such stupid words.

What book was it in?

I could say it's a contraction of 'quick' and 'kick' in an attempt parody your 'chillax', but it wasn't it was a typo.

Ok Viv, Lets start this thread again...

I find the best way to chill after a crap day at work is to noodle on the guitar with the amp turned up load. It really is the best way to forget without taking drink or drugs.

Or computer games.
Just getting into Bioshock, my god thats a terrifying game when you're playing it at 2 in the morning with all the lights off.

thank you, zoot... knew I could rely on you to be sensible!! One of my favorite "stressbusters" = spaceinvaders...!!

My ultmate stress buster, however, would be a secluded island in the middle of nowhere! :-)

I have to admit I also detest the word 'chillax'. I am all for the progression and change of language but that one just grates on me.

anyway, to answer the Q. I watch dvds, read, the usual stuff. I like to bake also, and I'm learning to knit, altho at the moment that's more stressful than relaxing.

Mm, I bake often. Vegan baking is a challenge but I enjoy it. When I make something good I usually bring it into work for all my colleagues to share. I make an excellent chocolate cake.

nicola, you sounds just like my partner, except he can't knit and always gives up after a few rows.
he also truly despises the word "chillax", so of course i always tell him he needs to chillax more.

i like to sleep, do crafts (knit, printmaking, make greeting cards), cook, and play video games.

No, I have knitting problems too. My stitches are too tight and I don't know how to rectify it. I can't get any further than a row of stitches cos of that. I need to join a group but I'm rubbish at admitting that I can't do something.

the only thing i can recommend is relaxing and practice. i had major problems with making the stitches too tight till i realised i had to make them seem super loose. then things started turning out ok.

To chill out I have a hot bath. If I won the lottery I would go on a world cruise with all my family for 101 days :D ah bliss.

If I won the lottery I would be very shocked because I don't do the lottery. But if I did, and I won, I would give it to Mr Yudster because he deserves it.

then if you ever did it would be a scam.
I saw a The Real Hustle on this very subject last night, a couple won £5000... in useless vouchers (stuff like £50 off a £20,000 watch etc)

If you can afford a 20 grand watch, you wouldn't really be worried about getting 50 quid off it!

I like to read.

In the winter I like to fill the tub, take up a nice drink (wine of Carolans) and read in the bath. I have watch telly from the bath too, which was nice :D
