I really like the new white stripes song, which is strange cause I've never liked the white stripes before.

I like the new Maroon Five song, which is strange because I've never liked Maroon Five before and the new song is really exactly the same as all their other songs. I don't understand.

I quite liked their first song (I can't remember what it was called but I remember it was used for the launch of a Lynx fragrance, I was working for Unilever at the time), but after that I just found them dull.

I like the plain white T's song, but as Yudster states it is very limited in it's narration, and not evocative of much feeling beyond, your miles away, I like you, your at school, one day I am going to earn a living playing music, and it's YOUR FAULT ( I don't get that lyric)

On the other hand a brilliant Pop song at Present I feel if Reverend and the Makers, great song.

Also is any one else fed up with the Kiesers over pretentious and preaching tone ? To start with I was in awe of rhyming Plattectonic, but this last one is a song based around a chorus basically decrying that most of the population are Angry and fickle.

I'd never buy a Hard-Fi album again... I got the "Stars of CCTV" album, but only liked the one song "Hard To Beat" on it. I'd expected the entire album to be of the same quality, but it wasn't at all. To each his/her own however.

Because I felt it was a good album. I also saw Hard-Fi live (they supported Green Day in Milton Keynes) a fair while before I heard the album and was impressed with them then.

did you know that "Hard To Beat" is actually a love song. Jo Whiley first pointed this out. People always associated love songs with slowness, but this one isn't. The lead singer is a dish.... mmmmm.

I found "cash machine" miserable... definitely not my cup o' tea.

Cash machine is a great song.

Barclays don't agree, they seem to have renamed all theirs since "Hole in the wall". Or maybe they're trying to be all informal.

It's just the kind of miserable song I suspected you would like! (ha ha).

I think it's trying to be more informal in an effort to be street.

No, actually I didn't! I had you down for the more up-beat "hard to beat" :-)

Hard to beat is a bit mundane compared to Cash Machine.
