Can't understand the liking for cats at all... all they do is stink, dig their claws into you, dribble all over you, and are, in fact, so independent they don't actually need you at all. Give me a dog any day :-)

I like both but if I had to choose, it would have to be cats. I had a great ginger cat when I was a kid called Paddy (which caused some confusion when calling him in, the guy who lived nextdoor was an Irishman) and he was great... he caught everything from squirrels to magpies!

Cats often seem smarter than dogs to me, but I like both. Not sure which I'd rather have, both have pros and cons.

Lionel brought home an uncooked lamb chop once. I was so proud.

A cat can tell if you are male or female just by you walking past (fact of the day - saw this in a documentary).

Paddy used to dribble, but only when he reached 14.

I have both cats and dogs :D While I love em to bits !!! The dogs are definately dafter than the cat ! He is cleaner, clever and more chilled out that my dogs !!!! The dogs see him everyday and still bark at him and he just sits there with a look that says go away stupids !!! ( I think he has took lessons of Garfield ! )

my old cat fido started to dribble at 13. it turned out that she had jaw cancer and that's why she was drooling so much. she was an awesome cat, but we had to put her down.

my guinea pig is pretty tidy.

That is the stereotype of cats compared to dogs; it's been depicted numerous times in cartoons, films, charicatures, etc. Cats are thought of as intelligent, sophisticated and often conniving animals, whereas dogs are shown as scatty, brain dead beings that like to fetch sticks for hours on end.

I've just tried to find the Far Side cartoon where the guy's sitting in his car just arriving home with his cat in the passenger street. His dog is bounding out the front door, very excited. The caption is "Aw, look who's come to see you from being declawed!" I couldn't find it but it's funny. The Far Side is brilliant (a lot of the time.)

Everyone goes off topic here. It's just something you have to get used to.

I was on the verge of banning you, although I obviously didn't, and then I had to go out, so essentially, I didn't have time. That said, it should have been fairly obvious as to why it was deleted; you linked to footage of various assaults on women, I can't believe for a second you couldn't have figured out the reason for it's disappearance.

Ah. In that case, I withdraw my "Hi".

And I'm waiting for him to be banned if that was the cause of his post being deleted. You're obviously not the kind of person we need on here if you think assaulting anyone is something we would like to see!

My cat does dribble, but he is really really clean. The other cat is clean and doesn't dribble at all.
