Ok, planning an evening out or whatever in advance is not always appropriate, but your mum is totally right to insist on knowing where you are going to be, who with, and when and how you intend to get home. Miss Yudster is a bit younger than you, but those are the rules we go by - with the proviso that if I don't like the answer to any of the questions, I can veto. She knows I only do that if I have a really good reason though.
