Where would you rather live : England or Scotland? I'm glad I live up this way, because we know how to laugh, and Scottish people have a really good sense of humour. Anytime I have travelled to England, I have found humour sadly lacking... just my little opinion

Well, I've never lived in Scotland, so I can't say which I'd prefer, but I can't imagine there'd be a lot of difference.

This is daft?! Most of the folks on here are English so all thats gonna happen is that everyone slags off Scotland, you get annoyed with them, disappear and I'm the one left!

"Slags off" is maybe a bit strong, but its only going to encourage yet another Scotland vs England banter match. We already had one going in another thread?!

Mr Foot-loose, I certainly won't be slagging off scotland, great place with great people IMO.
Just been talking on messenger with an old friend from Scotland who now lives in Chicago, He told me he just posted on a bulletin board that he misses Scotland, and a brief explanation why, then the conversation went like this;

HIM: Now I've posted it I know I'm going to regret it
ME: Why?
HIM: "all thats going to happen is that everyone will slag off Scotland! and I'll be pissed at them
ME: You always say that, but they never do, you're just being a mardy bum

yes, I corrected myself further up the page. My point is that on a board where I can think of about four scottish members where only two post regularly - asking where people prefer living is a silly question.

Everyone knows its Scotland anyways - so I see no need for the discussion.

I've never lived in Scotland, but England is home, so I can't think why I would prefer Scotland, however lovely it is. I am very keen to visit though.

Air is SUPPOSED to have smog in it, and dust and petrol fumes. In the same way alcoholics bodies eventually depend upon alcohol to function properly, mine depends upon a finely tuned balance of carbon monoxide and lead fumes. Come the thrid world war there'll be only the rats, the * and Londoners left.
