I read that as one of those 'Can you give me a hand? Oops you only have 1 arm...' moments when you say it without thinking it through properly.
Thats more of a slip of the tongue than overstepping the line.

People say that to Mr S4B all the time, he takes his hand off and passes it to them at times like that, the joke never seems to wear thin with him!

I don't think it would with me, were I to find myself in that situation, to be honest.

I find it dull now. I remember one christmas party when he scared a few women with his hand and then one of the guys took it off him saying "god that's so realistic, where did you get that from I want one" he then took off his arm and said "well first you have to get this done" The guy nearly passed out!

If you are giving people stick you should expect it back. I don't think for a second Viv was attempting to abuse anyone and I doubt it would have been picked up on if it wasn't her.

thanx, gaspode and horse :-) Have just been reading through this.. didn't notice it earlier.. No, I was not attempting to be abusive @ all. I'll apologise to Foots only! I got the term from Scott Mills' show actually, and hadn't viewed it as offensive in any way!!

And as to you, Topher... well, now you'll know how I feel on many unneccessary occasions :-)

As soon as I got in this morning the office loudmouth started on a string of colin McRae jokes. Admittedly I'm not great in the mornings, but I couldn't help but snap back about it being too soon, and that his 5 year old son also died in that crash.

Also - my 2 cents -
I'd like to know exactly where footy has supposedly 'crossed the line', if anyone on this board can be commended on being sensitive to peoples feelings and knowing where to stop, it's him.
Saying that, Footy's a C*nt...

:D

You almost answer your own question in your post. I found his "joke" about the McCanns distasteful but there has been worse on here and to be honest I couldn't care less what anyone posts as long as it doesn't become vindictive.

Or that daft racist Oliver.

I am annoyed by the sub-conjuctival haemorrhage I have developed in my right eye, which makes me look like an extra from a zombie movie, or a badly taken photograph. It is also beginning to hurt.

Agreed.

Sometimes it is better to agree to disagree....especially when it seems like everyone is "almost" agreeing anyway!

I dont agree with that!

annoying me: I feel slightly sick this morning, it's raining a bit, and there's a lack of caffeine in my life for the moment anyway.

Annoying me = Topher, I am tired, I am on reception duties again today and people are snapping @ me. Also, I have asked a couple of times in my "out the blue" thread why all the different screen colours, only to be ignored. It's ok... I don't mind.

People who work for the Environment Agency and don't know what their job is, let alone how to do it and seem to think that I will bail them out of every stupid situation they get themselves in. And the fact that more often than not, I will do just that. Pushover.
