Good vodka should never be contaminated with tonic water. In fact, vodka shouldn't normally be contaminated with anything, but Red Bull is acceptable.

not even ice?

You shouldn't need ice, it should come straight from the freezer anyway.

I'm not a big fan of ice in drinks.

I don't like ice in drinks. It gets in the way while you're drinking it, then it dilutes it as it melts. And yes, vodka should always be served from the freezer. Neat.

That's exactly why I don't like ice in drinks.

Vodka should be served with ice, coke and beer..... actually forget the ice... and the coke....... and the vodka. Now that's how it should be served.

You can't really class beer as boring foots my man. Granted you may not like it, but it's not dull.

I drunk me a half a litre of grape brandy last night.... now that's not a boring drink.

I do like lager (as long as it's a decent lager like Stella or Red Stripe) but it bloats me if I drink loads on a night out, I like to move on to shorts after a while.

I do prefer spirits and even Cider. Bulmers is lovely with ice, Magners however tasted more like Irn Bru when I tried it.

Tequila is probably my one 'never-ever-again' Drink though.

Tequila is fine (always have lemon afterwards though... I did two shots once without and the result was very nearly not pretty.) Absinthe would be something I won't touch again.

I don't do cider and I only really do shorts and shots on a night out, otherwise it's the lager for me.

I think it's after a tequila drinking experience where I was drunk enough that I 'forgot' to bite the lemon, and instead was trying to lick the salt again.

I can't bear the smell of tequila, so I don't think I could let it get close enough to me to actually drink it anyway.

Usually tequila or sambuca is my shot of choice. I went through a phase of blue Aftershock, but not keen.

Do you put the coffee bean in the bottom of the sambuca glass and set fire to it? Someone burned off his eyebrows doing that in my pub once.

No. I don't understand all the setting-light-to-sambuca-makes-me-look-hard craze... setting light to sambuca burns the alcohol off!

Not much of it, if you do it properly, and it changes the flavour quite dramatically. I think its pretty revolting either way, but there you go!

I'm not saying that I think beer is boring because I don't like it, it just all seems to taste the same to me. I am probably wrong, most of my mates go on about different types of beer etc etc.

Sambuca is pretty rotten to drink, but its managable. Tequila is pretty rotten to drink and completly unmanagable (although that might be the cheap-ass tequila in the local club. Decent stuff might be better).

The only time I have included absynthe in an evening out, the night also ended up featuring a vicars outfit, a lot of bubbles and that guy Tom from the first series of Big Brother. I didn't know it was him untill he got on the stage.

Ahh aftershock... many have been through a phase of that. Mine was going for Blue, then Red straight after. On reflection, it pretty much tasted like a strong cough medicine or somethin.
