as far as i know, a license is required for public playing of a radio or any music tothat fact but with the radio, a tv license is sufficient.

I am sure this chap did not describe it as a Radio License either, They come after you in Pubs as well. You shouldn't go into a Pub and listen to the Radio, without asking to see a current valid certificate from the PRS, not allot of people do, but they should you know !

I would have thought in a pub it would come under entertainments licences etc.
