That's never true, there's never too much good on, rarely anything good on.

Heroes, spooks and the fourth season of a show on sky one which I'm embarrased to admit I like but watch religeously. I'm sure there was something else I'm watching at the moment as well but I can't for the life of me remember what it is....hmm

Heroes and Spooks I'll go along with but that's hardly too much good stuff on TV is it?

Tis when you work 14 hour days and have a 3 hour commute each day! I only get to watch all the tv I've built up on my days off. That and endless you-tubeing leaves me with no time to do anything - plus it's a great excuse not to fix stuff. Too much like hard work, on my day odd I want to relax and walk around the house naked and eat junk food!

I've got you covered, Andy. Let the garden continue to grow and don't replace the lightbulb and then no one can see in to care that you wander around naked, watching crap tv and eating junk food. There! That's some chores off your list. Then you can meander nude until it gets too cold & you need to be a sausage roll again!

I am the meat! Bloody well was this morning as I forgot to turn the central heating on last night so it was freezing this morning.

I was wrapped up nice and warm I'll have you know, there was no shrinkage involved. Except when I got out of the shower because I haven't fixed the exctractor so I had to have the window open to let the steam out and as such the bathroom was freezing. I really should do my jobs.

Can't, got up at half 5 today, been at work since 8 and don't clock off till 10 tonight. Huge day of sport for us today. Cesarewitch, 2.5M Scoop6, Full racing card, football's back on and there's some game going on in france tonight. Plus Hamilton driving tomorrow and everyone wanting a double so they'll all be in today.

I'll do it tomorrow.

What odds are you giving in the rugby?

4/11 boks 9/4 England 18/1 draw - 80 mins
1/3 boks 2/1 England - outright

Pretty standard, there's not much variation in it to be honest.

Tomorrow I intend to be sleeping off a very large hangover, letting someone else worry about having enough money to pay everyone out and worrying about my dog who's going to the vets on monday to get shovelled.

I actually have no idea what all those betting things mean.

Spayed = Spade = Shovel = Shovelled

It means the springboks are favourites to win.

Bettnig prices (they're not called odds) are very simple. Always think "Them to you" The first number is the amount the bookie invests in your bet. The second number is the amount you invest in your bet. Whoever wins collects the lot. So 9/4, if you invested £4 you would pick up £13 having won £9. If you invested £1 you would pick up £3.25.

So when you see S. Africa at 4/11 it means you would have to put £11 down and if S. Africa win you would pick up £15 having won £4. Again obviously you can put down however much you like.

Simple really.

That reminds me of the following (it should probably go in the quotes thread, but it's slightly relevant to this now) quote from Only Fools and Horses:

"He told me he was an exporter"
"No, an ex-porter! He's just got the sack from British Rail!"
