Its that wonderful little earner for clintons cards coming up soon and I've just been invited to a halloween party where ive been told I NEED to dress up.

Anyone got any ideas what is easy / cheap to do, but can be effective?

Kendra suggested elsewhere that she wants to go as a chav - my fear with that is how likely it would be for me to get a kicking / arrested / both.

Help.

Ive dressed up for halloween twice in my adult life and once, it was as a Scotsman. Everyone at the party thought I had been at a wedding during the day to that didn't quite work.

The other time - I wasn't gonna bother getting dressed up till I was told, about five minutes before i left the house, that if I was dressed up - I got into the club for free. I was already wearing black trousers so I stuck a black shirt on over my t-shirt, folded up a piece of paper and stuck it under the collar and went as a reverand. I got into the club, took the shirt off and stuck it into the cloakroom. The bouncer saw me do this but said "ahh on you go in, you made me laugh". Result.

Id like to be more inventive this time.

go as continental eurotrash.

my chav costume is going to be tough because i don't know if i can get a cheap tracksuit in time. i'm maxing out my costume budget with the burberry guitar strap.

Easy - White shirt + Black suit jacket + black trousers + Black tie + Dark sunglasses = instant Men in Black agent. Preferable Neuraliser but not essential (they are easy to make as long as you can find a tiny tiny torch thing from a cracker and shuv it in a small piece of silver card rolled up with shiney card at top angled to make it shine outwards) More effective with other people admittedly and of course with a huge gun (slightly ott). Its not a true halloween costume but its a costume none the less which is easy if you have a black suit.

jeans & a white t shirt then use red lipstick on any visible flesh to create a zombie appearance! then turn up a bit late so everyone else is drunk when you get there and then no one will care if your costume is any good. (I am, of course, assuming you have a red lipstick!)

Footloose, there are great masks in Tesco, which are really scary and chinless. You have to buy yourself one of these. I may buy one - just to see if anyone notices the difference :-)

Does anyone know if its possible to make your own mask? Or a company that would do it for you?

Like a decent one - not just print it out and use some elastic bands...

You could go as Big Bird from Sesame Street, i'm sure you could get a costume from somewhere.

There is nothing scarier on tv than Big Bird!
