I have had the privilege to employ a great number of Kurdish, Portuguese, Polish, Checks, Thai's, and even the off English. Of all the people I have ever recruited for Seasonal Work ( over the last 12 years that must be well over a 1000 now) the worst by far is the White English Teenage Male. They are all taught there bigoted and work shy attitudes from there various Uncles who come in and abuse there mother over the years. They read the Daily Sport and have earings, think its acceptable to physically touch your own genitalia in public, as well as spit. They take there liberal induced schooling attitude of "you can't touch me / shout at me / make me do as you say" into the work place. Obviously this is unacceptable. They don't stay, they don't work, but they get the benefits whilst enjoying the benefits of stolen cars, selling drugs, and generally being chav's. They are offered all sorts of retraining monies, and often spiral out of control.
Now the Kurds and Polish for example arrive here and can earn in a week what they would take 6 weeks to earn in their own country. They often share a bedsit with 3 or 4 other people in a house with maybe 30 or 40 others. What the do give each other and to us is respect. The Kurds especially meet and greet their friends with hand shakes, smiles. The are Polite and hardworking, and do respond to requests for them to do a job a certain way. They have a "code" and will not stab a white person, but will use a knife to settle disputes between there own sort. Those that do are deported though. I have many Kurdish friends who have since the fall of Sadam returned to Iraq, and are working in the Police and in other roles. I have some Kurds who worked for me for 6 or 7 years, and have grown as people, and improved there English, bought, taxed and Insured Cars, and send half there money home to their families every week. What they faced in Iraq was Death, and witnessing there sisters and mothers being raped and humiliated.
There are always exceptions, which Society and the Police should and mostly do take care of.
So young man, there you are with the privilege of a Family, NHS support, Free Schooling, and access to benefits, and you say that these generally good people who can not have these things, so have to work at anything, even cleaning, just to eat, are in some way inferior to you. I can say categorically that they are not. They are decent human beings, that work for necessity, and sure if they have children, then we should educate them, if they are ill surely we should treat them. In any just and right society this should happen.
As foots says, your attitudes are those taken by the mass media, and probably by your Dad. They are wrong.
My Dad has those self same attitudes, he is a racist and a bigot, until I was about 24 I did have those same attitudes. BUT life has a way of educating you on these things, one day hopefully you will learn, and not be part of a generation perpetuation of this, most despicable off attitudes.
