Many happy returns to Channel 4, home to some of my favourite ever shows such as Countdown, Big Brother and The Simpsons, it's given me so much memories over the years.

Personally I can't often bring myself to watch a channel that outputs such garbage, though if the Simpsons is on and nothing else is, I'll watch that.

Althou I think sky one is more the "home of the simpson" they have a new episodes

How can you "love" channel 4? All they broadcast is bilge. I watch Channel 4 roughly as much as I watch Channel 5 and I really can't remember I watched something on Channel 5 (except for football matches).

Channel 4 is quite good with some shows like Desperate Housewives, Shameless, Lost, Kim and Aggie, FNP and 8 out of 10 cats. Have to agree with Charlotte its my favourite channel for shows.

Channel 4 started off well, it's ethos was supposedly to provide a "BBC2" type option on a commercial basis and become a source of serious programme making, and to be fair they did an awful lot of excellent documentaries and drama in the early years - but after the first five years they lost the plot, went tabloid and now only the American imports provide any entertainment.
