Scamp88/aliases is just a very disturbed young woman who was attention seeking. That's why she also said she had cancer and was in a car crash.

I was actually subtly hinting towards the fact that NightyNight 'and' Scamp88 had both talked about hanging themselves and that they are infact the same person. It was probably to subtle for people to notice though. I wasn't being insensitive, merely cryptic. And, in this case, it is attention seeking.

Why do you need to be so insensitive as do these subtle hints to a person desperate for help. I appreciate you don't have much going for you in terms of emotion/understanding, but some of us are worried about this.

Don't get me wrong, I agree that she/he (what are we going with on this front) has some serious problems just not the problems that she's been going on about. If I had to guess I'd say it's a rejection issue coupled with a huge dolop of low self esteem and I don't think we should even continue talking about it as it just fuels her belief that if she acts in this way she achieves notoriety.

I have to say, to an extent, I am with viv on this. I do think scamp/matt4scamps/nightynight/tomcole is not suicidal, and is hugely attention seeking - but I do wonder at the influences which would drive a young person (I think she is in her mid-teens, no older)to invent these alternative lives and personas for herself and perpetrate them to such an extent. Yes it is attention seeking, but my question is why? I don't think anyone who isn't deeply unhappy for whatever reason does such a thing, and I believe that "Liz" (for want of a better name) is in fact deeply unhappy - hence her erratic and irrational behaviour on here. Attention seeking to this extent can only be indicative of an extremely unhappy, possibly clinically depressed person - in which case I can feel only sympathy, or, more worryingly (although there is nothing on these boards to suggest it in my opinion) a deeply disturbed person, who might spiral into more radical ways of "acting out" their unhappiness.
I don't, however, think that approaching her to "make sure she's ok" is appropriate, or necessary - although if she wanted to talk to someone she could PM me - as long as she understands I'm not interested in any more stories.

Well, the beeb has a corporate responsibility which goes further than what would be reasonable in "normal life", so I can see that. But I don't think it's necessary. Like I said, if she wants a chat, I'm not going to hold anything against her - but I won't put up with any crap either.
