This mulled cider we talk of... where does it come from? Do I need a recipie or is this a purchase from the shops? Or do I need mulled apples?

Hahaha

Oh you make me laugh. Like you can get any other type of pancakes other than Scottish ones. American ones are very similar to ours.

I know this. I wasn't asking you. I was asking the person that talked about mulled cider. I would have thought this was obvious?

Has anyone tried Turducken?

If anyone wonders, It's a duck, stuffed into a chicken, stuffed into a turkey
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turduckens

I think this a great concept that is overlooked, and we should make a conscious effort to stuff more small animals into each on seasonal holidays.

I've uncovered a Goldmine here! -

The record of multi-bird roastings is 17 apparently...

The largest recorded nested bird roast is 17 birds, attributed to a royal feast in France in the 19th century: a bustergophechiduckneaealcockidgeoverwingailusharkolanbler (originally called a Rôti Sans Pareil, or "Roast without equal") - a bustard stuffed with a turkey, a goose, a pheasant, a chicken, a duck, a guinea fowl, a teal, a woodcock, a partridge, a plover, a lapwing, a quail, a thrush, a lark, an Ortolan Bunting and a Garden Warbler. The final bird is small enough that it can be stuffed with a single olive;

But the best one - a Whole Stuffed Camel

whole stuffed camel is a culinary delicacy composed of a medium-sized camel stuffed with a sheep or a lamb stuffed with other foods both animal and plant.

Genius!

imagine ending life as something that is either being stuffed inside a camel or something that is having a lamb stuffed inside you.

And we think we have it tough!

And I thought they smelt bad on the outside...
(Nice geeky reference to start the day...)

Reading back, am I the only one disappointed that this doesn't actually contain a Gopher?

Mulled cider is made with ordinary cider - scrumpy is particularly good, with added mulling spices; same as you use for wine. You can either be lazy and buy it as sachets or make up your own spice mixture.
It's pretty good for getting you pretty drunk pretty quickly, i found.
