Sorry to resurrect this old thread, but over the last couple of days I keep reading various variations on this theme.....

..........anyone have any views? On the face of it, I think you'd have to say it's a reasonable poiont to make, I'm not quite sure that a prosecution would really serve any useful purpose though. Except to make that fame-seeking lawyer even more infamous.

If you wanna be famous you need to be a bit more presentable, someone should recommend him Dominic's wig.

A new tie wouldn't hurt as well and for God's sake, get rid of those glasses 8O

And, in all seriousness, it IS a reasonable point to make about prosecuting them for neglect. But it won't do any good. The child is still gone.

"They regret very much that they were not with Madeleine when she was taken" - NO? Really? What a ridiculous statement. Presuamably had they been there she wouldn't have been taken!

I don't understand these people. They "regret very much" that they weren't with her, but when it is pointed out to them that actually, probably, realistically, by all the accepted standards of parenting that we apply in this country, they damn well SHOULD have been with her, they say they don't think they did anything wrong. Talk about wanting it both ways.
