We usually go away at Christmas, this year we won't be driving the car. Last year we got stuck in a traffic jam in the south of France for two days, then having escaped that - we crashed the car. Not badly, but things were falling off the car until we got to the portuguese border, then it promptly fell apart. Christmas music might have come in useful at that point.

Mad World was from Donnie Darko wasn't it? Or that version of it was anyway. I'm old enough to remember the original (still got the album on vinyl somewhere....) which was a gajillion times better.

I think its a shame the Take That track was released to coincide with the movie release, because I think it's a glorious Christmas single.

I like all the old popular Christmas tracks, but my favourite is - unusually for me because I normally can't stand him - a Cliff Richard song, Saviours Day. It does it for me, I love that song.

The one to avoid is the sanitised version of Fairytale of New York which has been eviscerated by Ronan Keating and Moire Brennan. They want shooting for that.
