Family Guy is good, but nowhere near as good as Futurama.

Sorry Cat, but I gotta agree with Mr Console here. I'm halfway through season two of Futurama and the subtle comedy is cracking.

I've not seen many Futurama episodes, but I like what I have seen. Family Guy is very good too, but again, I've not seen too many.

At least when you watch the Simpsons there's no "Chris". The sound of that kid's voice makes my skin crawl. Other than that, Family Guy is hilarious. I love Stewie.

It was released in America on Tuesday, but I managed to 'acquire' a copy of it last week, and it is absolutely fantastic; it is exactly what Futurama is all about. I can't wait until it's available here, it'll make a great addition to my collection.

I was testing the '£' problem (and a couple of other things). 'Hello, World' is just my default debugging string as it's easy to search for in logs.

Family Guy and Futurama are both far better than The Simpsons, but I can't decide what's better out of those 2.

American Dad is not to be overlooked either, it's like Family Guy but without the annoying plot tangents.

Uh hu, well, for those that care, I know what the problem is and the fix should be applied today (or whenever Chris gets around to it).

Family Guy used to be great (before it was canceled), but I don't think it's been as good since it was brought back. Granted, it's still far better than the current Simpsons, but not as god as it was, and (for me) certainly nowhere near as good as Futurama.

I've never watched American Dad, but after the main character from it (Stan?) appeared in Family Guy I have thought about getting into it.

"Hello world" is typically the first string you print out when learning a new language or testing and debugging your programme, Console's not the first or the last to use it.

Is "acquire" code for pirate?

I was joking! I know an honest number such as yourself would never steal anything! :-)

futurama is the funniest of the lot, but seriously- family guy is not funny. i've started skipping through half the gags and realised there's not much to it.

Can't be bothered reading the rest of the thread so I'm just gonna plump for Die Hard and Die Hard II

I thought Die Hard 2 was far weaker than Die Hard and ...with a Vengeance.

It was a great film with real christmas spirit....

Maybe you're just the wrong guy in the wrong place at the wrong time!

No, true.

I just wasn't as impressed with that one.

The second one was definitely the poorest of the initial three, but I'm not sure how I'd rate it against the latest one.

I've not seen 4.0, I do intend on seeing it at some point though.

Bruce Willis seems a bit geriatric to be doing the stuff he did back then.

I just tend to avoid things with Bruce Willis in it. People like him, Michelle Rodriguez and Hugh 'Arsehole' Grant just annoy me, as they play pretty much the same role in everything they do.

It's an ok film, if you only watch it for the action, but as there was computers involved I couldn't help but notice and be annoyed by all of the numerous technical inaccuracies.

I bet you love it in films where every button they press makes a "beep" sound or they do that thing of hacking into the pentagon database on the third password guess. Oh and that bit in Jurassic Park where the girl claims they're using a Unix system but it's clearly not.

"Hacking into the pentagon...double click on yes....Hmm password protected, 20 billion combinations...Jeff....HEY! we're in" - used under permission from Eddie Izzard.
