Is it just me, or is this really obvious? Think 'containers' (amusingly, in two ways).

Oh Zoot, why'd you have to post it? I got it too, but now I've scrolled down as far as your answer, no-one will believe me!

Apologies for "why'd". Appalling.

As I was a little bored this morning (this time) I thought I'd come up with a 'Connect 5' of my own. Something (other than the fact that they're all in this post; it's also possible that there's more than one 'something', but 'Rob DJ' rules apply here) connects the words below, what is it? The words are: -

Blues, brickle, buoyant, chair, tardation.

I think 'tardation' means 'to halt' or 'to delay', something to do with slowing something down anyway.

No idea but please tell us as it's now driving me mental!

Highlight the below for the answer: -

###
Read only every other letter (starting with the first in each word), it'll spell out modes of transport.

I thought it was pretty good, myself. I found 'buoyant' to be rather amusing as it describes it's 'connection'.

Did you come up with that yourself?

If so - as much as I admire the way your brain is wired, I think it's wired wrong.

The five words, or the buoyant connection? The buoyant connection isn't exactly hard to see.

I don't find it hard to see now you have pointed it out, but there was no way I was getting that before.

I suppose some people find things like that easier.

Fair enough.

I've come up with two more 'Connect 5's if anyone wants to take a shot at them (at least one should be a little easier to get than yesterdays): -

Colorblind, fetology, rebaptizing, scrutiny, wipeout.

Geoid, ghoul, relearnt, reproach, sturdied.

Depending on which way your brain works, you should find one of them easier to work out (due to prior knowledge).

is 'colorblind' spelt that way deliberately? Or is 'colorblind' always spelt the american way?

No, it's spelt that way deliberately; I couldn't find another word that fitted the pattern.

So you're bending English to make your game work!!! Surely that's cheating? And don't give me the "It's my quiz, my rules" bollocks!
