Last batch of in the night garden toys have hit UK!

I read today that getting hold of toys from In The Night Garden was going to be really hard this year.

A, It's the number 1 must have kids christmas pressie apparantley

B, According to what iv'e heard the last batch of toys are already in the country and once there gone thats it till after christmas.

My friend has been out and spent £300 on the big iggle piglles which dance, just so she can put them up on ebay in december. She reckons she will make a small fortune on them. I wish i had the money to do this . Saying that i dont think i could actually do it knowing that other mums n dads like me are desperate to get a toy and will be seriously out of pocket. Oh well thats just me i guess.

I don't think I have even been into whatever the Chrismas toy was. That said - I do remember getting a Sword of Omens (it gave me sight beyond sight) which was immense. My sister got a Furby which is the most irritating creation ever.

My daughter absolutly loves it, but her taste is debatable. She stills sings Umbrella by rihanna, which drives me bonkers. Probably why she does it.

Baby Yudster loves it too. He particularly likes The Tittifers. He sings their song with them. All the rest of them are creepy. The Har-Hoos especially. And what's with The Tombleyboos? Their trousers keep falling down, and every opportunity they get they take them off and hang them on the washing line, Without washing them. And those Pontypines need some family planning advice. And some help with their chronic flatulence. And hasn't anyone else noticed how the Pinkyponk and the Ninkynonk keep changing size? And Upsy Daisy needs a good slap, Iggle Piggle should damn well go to bed when he's told, and Makka Pakka needs to get help for his OCD.

And we let our children watch this.

I've never heard of any of these kids' toys. I suspect I'm seriously out of touch.

Not too long ago I bought something in WH Smith and the checkout woman asked me if i was interested in pre-ordering the new Harry Potter dvd. I politely replied no thanks, I think I'm too old for Harry Potter. she looked at me slightly strangely and then I remembered that I'm old enough to have a kid who would be. I forget I'm not 17 anymore. *sigh*
