As Chris is a Rydian fan how does everyone feel about last nights X factor result?

Same Difference rock. They should have won. I don't like Leon and after Same Difference went, i wanted Rhydian to win. Shame he didn't. Leon is too much like Ray from last year in my opinion.

Same Difference are the kind of people I would take great pleasure in punching. I never watch these type of shows but found myself watching it last night, and to be honest, so long as Same Difference didn't win, I was happy either way.

And Leon isn't like Ray, Ray's a prick. Leon is just some innocent little Weejee lad who wants to "improve his Mum's life", if that's honest, then good luck to him.

I am so happppy Leon has won. He is the only raw, non-manufactured talent!! It's Butlins for Same Difference and Joseph for Rhydian. :-)

Very good point, he was a bit on the ropey side vocally wasn't he?

Anyway, I firmly believe it was Kylie that won it for him.

He was emotional, Bruvva... not ropey.. Anyhow, with a bit of input from the experienced, I reckon he'll be just fine.

I heard his voice for the first time this morning, Moyles and the crew were not impressed with the song, but I have to say I don't mind it, and I thought he sounded like Marti Pellow.

I don't mind the song either. I think Leon as a person tho' is unfortunately rather naive.

Not unfortunate for him. He's got Granny appeal which should see him through 1 or 2 number 1 records.

Yep, he has got "granny appeal" definitely. I meant naive tho' in the sense that he's just a bit too "innocent" somehow for his own good.

People said that about Leona and it doesn't seem to have done her any harm. Yet.

me too. haven't seen any of this season of X Factor at all. I thought the song was terrible. why choose a song in a minor key? what happened to the big uplifting ones with the obligatory key change and choir coming in at the end? That said, I'm sure it'll still be no1.

I can't believe you 2 are just hearing his voice!!! Leon's lovely. Such an emotional soul. Love a bit of emotion.

Of course I'm only just hearing it, nothing on earth would make me watch the sickly, sentimental and dismal crap that is X Factor, and up until now, where else would I have heard him?

It's just - many people have watched all the way through. I know I have. :-)

Rhydian is odd, yet there is something nice about him somehow... :-)

I've seen a picture of Rhydian. He looks like a blond Robbie Rotten.

the thing about Rhydian is, he's never gonna have a pop career. He's gonna go straight to Opera, which kind of makes a farce out of the final of X-factor.

If he was good enough to be an opera singer, a proper one, not a concert singer like Andrea Bocelli (yeuch), he wouldn't have been on X-Factor to begin with, he wouldn't have needed to. Like Mylene Klass saying "I'm a classical pianist" - no, she's a classically trained pianist who wasn't good enough to actually have a career as a concert pianist, so she went on Pop Idol or whatever it was. And has probably got a much more lucrative career as a result. The moral of the story, if you want to be the very best at what you do in classical music, be prepared to settle for second best financially. If you want the big bucks, be happily mediocre!
