Who else is in the running for this other than the X Factor single? I have heard something about Shaun the Sheep but i've never heard the song (I think this might be a good thing).

I heard Malcolm Middleton on Colin Murray last night - Colin is trying to get his song to the number one spot. I doubt it would happen, but it would be kinda cool getting someone who is unsigned to beat the might of Simon Cowell.

The video is here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/colinmurray ... eton.shtml

Granted, it's not the cheeriest song I have ever heard - but they have stuck some sleigh bells in the video version to make it all festive.

That would be cool and the song is good too. I heard the other week, they were trying to get some celebrity backing for the campaign and when they ran out of celebrities, someone in the studio (Tash?) did a hilarious impression of Mr T. It was one of those where you had to be listening but I nearly pissed myself.

http://www.willhill.com/iibs/EN/buildcoupon.asp?couponchoice=OT1911677 should help, they've normally got a much bigger list than this.

I'm not a fan of hers really. So I'm not making an effort to find it to listen to.

10 Xmas songs in the top 40 is pretty random. I love these new chart rules.

It was that actually, fair play.

Though I should point out that "ping ponging" is exercise and sleeping like a sloth isn't.

There's a comedy film about Ping Pong coming out, it's got Christopher Walken in it. Saw a traileer the other day and randomly though of you.

Hahaha.

Topher would sit and pick all the rules apart. Like Console watching Jurassic Park.

Amusingly, the dodgy genetics was the most believable part of that film.

It looks good for a laugh.. even if it does look ridiculous. Some of the shots look OK, some look dreadful.

I think I'd prefer the X-Factor song to Malcolm Middleton's contrived and pathetic effort to be contrversial. I hope Fairytale makes it. Neither of my two favourite Christmas songs stand a chance, but I have them at home so I don't care.

I don't care either, I haven't cared about the charts for at least five years (and I was probably late to that particular party.)

Having said that, I do like the Malcolm Middleton song.
