A new topic! Smashing!! Yes, seasons do affect mood. I hate the darkness of the winter, and it gets me down! I read somewhere that there is a lack of production of a chemical called "Serotonin", which is the "feel good" chemical. It's in my medication at the mo', so I don't feel as bad this winter.

Also, read somewhere, that the darkness appearing early causes another chemical to be produced which makes people sleepier earlier at night.

It's not so much the seasons as the weather that affects my moods.. damp, horrible weather is depressing.

The weather is a nightmare, especially when you've got lashing rain straight in your face!!

I don't give a monkeys, I just wrap up warm and deal with it. If I get cold I jog to get warmer and if it rains I get wet. The only thing I don't like is ice 'cos I wear nice shoes with bugger all grip on them so the chance of slipping is much greater.

I usually get a funny feeling around april and again in september, but I can't describe it. It's just like things are, or should be changing. You would think I would get that at the beginning of a new year, but I rarely do. It usually leads me to revamp my wardrobe, makeup or bedroom, or sometimes all three.

Yep, I get these feelings in April too, N. Red., when there's bluebells around and everything's coming back to life again!

Spring cleaning, a woman's nesting instinct is a very powerful thing, not to be trifled with. I try to help my missus as much as possible during those times. I lift me feet off the floor so she can hoover round me.

Isn't nesting what pregnant women and mothers do? That's definitely not me!

well you're getting to that age, fight it as much as you like, your body is telling you it's time. Nothing you can do about hormones I'm afraid.

Hehehe

I'm well past the age - in medical terms I would be an ancient prima gavida. However, my hormones told me that children weren't for me, which is why I was sterilised three years ago - the best decision I ever made.
