I know, but she's not (and that's a fact), so how can someone argue it?

You are quite blatantly being ageist here. Personally, I feel that if five year olds are capable of passing a driving test then they should be allowed to drive wherever they damn well please. I offer a similar proposition to those aged 105. If they can pass a standard driving test, then they are more than welcome to drive on the road.

However, since the current driving exam appears to have about as much to do with driving as giving a dead pig a bath, I suggest that we should probably start by having a look at that.

Hmm.. well played.

I can't think of anything else right now.

Well, chastity is an empirically determinable state. Virtue however pertains to attitude and behaviour - if, as you imply, given the opportunity you would relinquish your current chastity without a backward glance, I don't think you can be said to qualify as "virtuous".

Topher, that's the point, Foots said he will argue with anything anyone says so I want to find a topic he cannot defend without serious psychological damage. I've already got him admitting Scotland is rubbish (or words to that effect).

Love you though honey.....oh alright then.

George Bush is the worlds dumbest man and I for one think the War in Iraq was a total travesty and unjustified. Bush is an unfit leader who inspired zero confidence in either him or his country and should never have been made president.

Go

Hang on though, my argument would involve getting foots to basically sing your praises as a sweet angel, what's wrong with that?

Unfortunately I can't phrase it as a statement that wouldn't get me banned...I think I'll leave board members alone.

Please quote where I came anywhere close to saying that.

The best you will be able to do is me saying that deep fried mars bars and irn bru isn't cuisine. I imagine most people would agree with that. The Trainspotting quote doesn't count.

i'm american and i think that deep fried candy bars are cuisine, i don't like george w. bush, and i'm not entirely certain of s4b's virtues after her steady campaign to seem far from pure.

Also American but wouldn't eat a deep fried candy bar. Ever. As for the other 2, my mother told me never to discuss politics or a woman's virtue. And, Footsy, you held up very well (though perhaps not enough to be called "Him"). Maybe if you hadn't given up the voddie your eye wouldn't have twitched during this Alba bashing exercise?

I don't think I said anything I didn't agree with. Apart from maybe the five year olds being allowed to drive - that might need to be looked at.

In your line of work, I would think you definitely want to re-think that statement. Five year olds hauling caravans clogging up the A82? Think of it. *shudder*
I also think your opinion is flawed regarding accents. I have no accent. I am a neutral third party. Therefore I am a better judge. The Scots accent is incomparable and is waaayyy sexier.

The five year olds would need to have passed the driving test. This is critical to my point.

Aside from the point that an opinion can't really be flawed, it can only be misguided or not the same as yours, the Scots accent is incomparable to whos?

I didn't say the Scots accent wasn't sexy, I said that the Irish accent was sexier - which I believe. I think that the nicest accent is a soft female Irish accent. It works on guys as well mind you.

But exponentially, wouldn't adding younger drivers to the road (passing tests or not) be adding to traffic? Oh, sure, there'd be few 5 year olds that'd pass the test (and probably few of the very elderly) but still...Think of the congestion.

You poor misguided Scot. Whose accent is the Scots' incomparable to? Any other. Ask most women (particularly American ones).

Scots is sexiest. Just accept the gift for God's sake!

Scottish accents are sexy if they're subtle. Not if they're done in a Rab C Nesbitt kind of way.

Really? There wouldn't here. Not unless they were exceedingly tall for a start.

Ahh Sunny - you're clutching at straws now...

As I said - the driving test would need to be / DOES need to be significantly improved. If that happens, the only two things I can see happening are either the number of people qualified to drive decreases OR the general standard of driving increases. Both these things would lead to greatly improved traffic flow.

The public transport system also needs looked at, especially the train service. They should stop charging a small fortune for people to use the train, especially if they use it on a daily basis. It's cheaper for my mates to drive to work than it is for them to get a return train ticket each day.

It was a "MILF Access All Areas" thingy and believe me, that's not gonna work on me.

When you travel north in Scotland, I tend to think that the Scots accent gets quite similar to the Irish. The accent in Caithness (WAY up top) is not what people initially think a Scottish accent traditionally sounds like.

Agreed. Rab C Nesbitt = very not sexy. Paulo Nutini = looks delicious, sounds like a Glasgow A&E department on a Friday night (I imagine), so not sexy. Ewan MacGregor = sexy, in a slightly mid-Atlantic stylie. Sean Biggerstaff = the upper benchmark by which sexiness in Scottinsh accents is measured.
