The best way to get ears cleaned out is to see the Nurse at the Doctor's surgery. that's what they are therefore. They have a machine for this purpose. I had it done just before the Xmas period.

Hey Topher. If it doesn't clear in a day or two, try some Hopi Ear Candles. Helps me. :)

Ah cheers, I'll give it a go.

?!

catherine wrote:My mum hardly ever has to clean peoples ears out and if she does there isn't a machine, just cold water and a syringe.

I've had that done two or three times actually, but not for a few years.

No, console. By "out of this world", I meant, it feels "funny" - bubbling away in ears! The Nurse told me the last time I had it done that I had the dirtiest pair of ears in town. I was very embarassed.

Hi Vivienne,

I'll try again!

It is true about the nurses. Although hopi candles are so much less invasive, painful and are more relaxing. and they can maintain your ears so you don't have to have them syringed, which having had that done once or twice, is a bonus for me!!!

but they have many other theraputic benefits for Migraine, Insomnia etc

Talking of insomnia I neary bored myself to sleep then. Sorry!! :)

Why does it take a year and a half for radio1 to start playing a speed garage tune. I knew 'Heartbroken' agesss ago and now Jo Whiley has said she is going to play H2O ft Platinum - What's it gonna be, which i have had for longer than Heartbroken. The people that like speed garage would already know this song and the people that don't will just moan about it.

Didnt mean to be too informal, but viv it is!

you can have it done at a salon or holistic centre for about £20.( thats how much it is by me)

But if you want a go at home, holland and barrett I think is about the easiest place to get them. They are about 7quid a pair. you need to turn the lights off, put on some nice music and some scented candles and make sure your nice and warm for the full effect. Proper pampering. You will need someone else there just to make sure they burn straight and to extinguish them after.

What a lot of tosh! Some of us "oldies" actually like to know (and enjoy) what's happening.
