My new laptop is bugging me....sometimes when I press the keys it doesn't respond so words come out wrong.

Also there's no multimedia controls.

And the CD drive is a bit dodgy, doesn't like anything higher than trck 20 on cd's and has trouble reading some flawless cd's, then when I re-start it it reads them perfecty...well it still does clunking but it gets them eventually.

It's got a lot of memory and a big hard drive but a crap bs speed and the battery lasts about 15 minutes without poer on standby.

Cheap thogh, wonder why?

Whats annoying me today is bitchy girls. Its like they go out of their way to try and upset/annoy me. I know I shouldn't let it get to me, but I do. :(

It might be worthwhile taking it back and either acting really dumb ("it's broke - I want a new one") or acting smarter than the guy your dealing with (not difficult in PC World, in my experience my 12 yr old disabled deaf labrador knows more about computers than the staff in there) and confuddle them with techno-babble.

Id act dumb and shout and say you want a new one. Stamping your foot might help.

I don't go to the sort of bars where one queues any more. I have them bring the drinks to me. Even simpler.

I'd hate to be your secret boyfriend if THAT's your idea of birth control!

Oh you have much to learn miss lalottie.

If the woman gets pregnant, it's obviously her fault anyways!

And all the straight people you know have no issues or problems and encounter no difficulties? Life is tough for everyone.

Of course they do, hence my use of the word "tougher" not "tough", and my qualification that I speak from my own observation of an inevitably relatively limited group (ie gay people I know well enough to talk about such things with).

So far today, Foot Loose is annoying me. It's still early though.

I disagree, but you're entitled to your opinion.

Actually, I think I know what you mean, and I understand what you're saying. My comment was probably coloured by the scenario described, ie the reaction of a parent to the revelation that a son or daughter is gay. As a parent, I think you worry about all the potential situations your kids might find themselves in, and I can't believe that this particular one wouldn't hold it's own unique set of things to be concerned about for the parents. But that doesn't mean that just because my kids are apparently straight (well, the grown up ones anyway) that I don't think there's anything to worry about. I wish it did though.

I thought you might be, I've been trying to get hold of you. Poor love, try to sleep if you can - make them give you drugs if you can't!

And please try to forget that it was me that advised you to go to the hospital in the first place.......!

Ooops - Cat, you're 17, how have you got pancreatitis??!!

I had a drip in my elbow joint when I had a miscarriage - it is horrible, I know. But it made the regular administration of opiates nice and easy.....
