I think it's Garnier Davina uses. Or get it done professionally at the mop shop, Bruvva. May last longer as well.

Davina advertises Garnier Nutrisse. I have used that, it's ok. Nice 'n Easy is also good, and its cheaper. But I tend to get whatever is on offer. I usually just go for a shade which is basically like my natural colour but occasionally I try something a bit more zingy - Feria is good for that, or there are loads of extreme colours you can get if you want to do a Nicola Red. I so want to do a Nicola Red..........

I like the sound of that. I haven't had purple hair for a few years.

For pink to be effective, I would need to bleach first and I'm not going to do that, my hair is rubbish enough anyway. Purple comes through without the need for bleaching though I find.

my dad nagged my mom to dye her hair when it went grey. we thought it'd stop after it fell out from chemo, but as soon as it came back he started bugging her to dye it. (the grey made him feel old.) so i dyed my mom's hair magenta. it looked great, but my dad and my mom's principal weren't so happy with it. at least she can keep her greys now. (salt-n-pepper hair looks good!)

i would rather have grey hair than curly hair, which i unfortunately have night now.

i used to dye it over my brown and it would stay for a couple of weeks. longer if i didn't wash it. bleaching made it last for months, but it totally fried my hair. i'm still contemplating bleaching it and dying it green for baseball season, but i'm supposed to be looking like a grownup for my job.

This is what colour I have mine dyed at the moment. Just on the bottom layer though. I'm bored of it now. I dunno whether to go for another colour, or just go back to all brown.

I would assume so but I have no actual proof of this claim as I'm not into necrophilia

See! You should have let me answer that. I would have gotten it.
I tried your joke about the parrots and the perch on a friend. She stared vacantly at me for several seconds and said, "I give up...?"

I've tried blonde. caramel and different shades of red but i like my own colour it is a chocolate brown and shiny, plus dying just messes up my curls anyway as does my hair being too long.

Aww. you people are all so lovely! /care bear moment

I use Special effects, which is an American brand, but there is a UK website which stocks it now, http://www.beeunique.co.uk (I think my pic is still up there in the galleries somewhere). It used to be pretty cheap to get it shipped over from the US til the dollar went down so much, so now I get it from beeunique. I do bleach mine first, so it takes most of a day to do and requires at least one helper (I usually have two - my mum and Auntie Pauline). It also knackers the condition, but I have very thick, strong hair so it can take a bit of a battering. I do use a ton of conditioner and serum tho.

I dunno how much grey I would have if I didn't dye it. Looking at my roots, I reckon a fair bit. (A friend kindly pointed out the grey on my 33rd birthday! but I knew anyway...) If I ever get too old for the red, I'll be happy to go grey gracefully so long as it's a nice elegant silver grey rather than a yucky yellowy one. You can get shampoos and stuff to keep the silver tones.

Yes Andy, one of them is me.

middle column, fifth one down.

and kendra, I may very well take you up on that offer. how much do you pay a bottle for SFX, and how much do you reckon it would cost you to send two over here?
