Have a successful trip Ezza!

The David Bowie morphing into Jools Holland impressions this morning made me smile. And a minute ago Bruvva made me laugh.

Because it rots your brain and your liver.........................I'm just bitter because I can't anyway.

My dad has been giving me alcohol since I was around 7. Not a lot, but the odd glass of wine here and there. I think its so I didn't grow up just getting pissed at any opportunity. I don't like getting pissed anyway. I don't see the point.

I was allowed an occasional - and I mean occasional, like maybe once a year - glass of port or sherry from when I was about 9. I didn't actually start drinking any more than that until I had left school and was earning my own money - although that was at age 16. I think it's at least partly because of that relaxed and rational approach to drinking that my "wild phase" was both relatively short lived and (by some people's standards) really not that wild, and I have since never had any issues with alcohol. Well, not with my own consumption, anyway.

I never had a "wild phase" until I was in my mid-twenties. Even then, it wasn't that "wild"... I discovered I could get some bizarre "kick" out of sitting with a red wine headache. I'm drunk after only a glass anyhow. In my recent desperation for some alcohol, a couple of weeks ago, I ate almost an entire jar of brandy butter, just because there was some alcohol in the jar.

I love brandy butter in hot mince pies - just break the lid off the pie and put a dollop in, and then put the lid back - leave it for a minute or so and mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm................It's a good job you can only get it in Sainsbury's at Christmas. Mind you, me and my mum used to make it every Christmas when I was a kid, so I know how.

Damn, I'm not allowed sugar either. I hate being ill.

Well, seeing this lade http://www.ambertopaz.co.uk/ performing in a florist's shop window in some bizarre Valentines day/ burlesque club cross promotion at lunchtime made me smile.

Footy, editing people's posts and then pretending they are quotes is not big and it's not clever.
