Smacking the rules down:

  • There are three rounds in each game. Each question is harder than the one before it.
  • Each question in round one is worth 5 points, round two is 10 points and round three is 15 points.
  • Checking your answers is not allowed (i.e. googling them).
  • However, you have two chances to get help throughout the quiz. These lifelines take the form of being allowed to check two of your answers, but you need to indicate that you have done so. These answers will only get you five points each, regardless of which round they are in.
  • To give your answers, please reply with only the question number and the letter A, B, C or D. This way it shouldn't be spoiled for those answering after you. I'll probably not give the correct answers for a couple of days.

Well, on a whole I would say that the scores are better this time so far. Bawbag is clinging onto that number one spot but its a close call between the top four for first place.

February Leaderboard

  • Ballbag: 280 points (played 2 games)

  • Sunny So Cal: 275 Points (played 2 games)
  • S4B: 270 points (played 2 games)
  • Yudster: 260 points (played 2 games)
  • Pjordan2000: 235 points (played 2 games)
  • Wurzel: 200 points (played 2 games)
  • Ezza: 175 points (played 2 games)
  • Charlalottie: 160 points (played 2 games)
  • Topher: 150 points (played 2 games)
  • Kendra K: 130 points (played 1 games)
  • Andy B: 90 points (played 1 game)

I'm giving thought to introducing a new rule which would be something along the lines of the points would only go up until you got one answer wrong. After that, the points wouldn't count towards the leader board. The reason I say this is to try and encourage folk to use their lifelines.

So in effect, you could get all the questions right except number 5 but all you would walk away with would be 20 points. It would make it (even) more competitive, i'd think. Thoughts?

I've just compared my answers with Baggies and worked out which two I got wrong - the second one I'm not bothered about, but honestly, I knew the first one, I have no idea what possessed me to put the answer I did. What a twit.

Need to be more careful next time.

It's a silly rule.

Also (sorry to double post), to those who are asking for which answers they got wrong, you can actually check on Google if you wish after you've submitted your answers.. you're not gaining anything that way.

I agree. Silly rule.

We don't like the new rule idea Footy.
#327898
I can understand why Yudster doesnt like it, but surely it brings the high shooters down a bit? It would make the scores lower overall. Say yudster gets 14/15 but the one she gets wrong is number 7. Topher gets 10/15 but gets all of them right up until number 8 - technically, he would get a better score.

Meh, im no fussed.
#327901
I think it removes the element of risk.
