Well, I never attempted to stop her getting married, if that's what you're asking. Actually, is marriage a right?

I'm starting to think it's a wrong... My Girlfriend keeps bringing up the fact that as it's leap year, it is tradition that, on the last day of this month, the female of the relationship can ask the male for his hand in marriage.
Can anyone put me up for a couple of days, say, at the end of the month?

Thanks

I'm confused at the above about-face. Don't feel too in the dark, Toph.

Well, my dog is asleep on her 6ft throw in the centrally heated Porch, she loves me, but I do stand by what I said........ you have to keep a dog under control, and that involves beating ! You can not talk to it about how it feels! The voice is most important, you can shout and achieve much, mostly now I just have to look at the dog and she cowers, which isn't a good look in the playground, but it does suit when she is running up the pavement and a truck is heading towards her, and you want her to stop, she always does when I shout stop.[the incontinence I admit to having to work on ]

Hey foots, I want a 4x4 and I am looking at land rovers from the 70's, can you recommend anything ?

Sunny you are lovely, and I would have a pouch with a pink bow in my arms if it made you happy.

Although I did just finish the Valentines card to Wifeeeeee with my own poem and an Acrylic Oil Rose, hand pained on the front. Still the Post Office shuts in Cornwall on a Wednesday Afternoon !

Well I don't agree on physically striking the dog but I don't have that problem. My dog is old. We've had her since she was a puppy and we got her from the pound. She had been abused and is very skittish. She listens very well because she's too frightened to do much else, the poor thing.

You wrote your wife a poem and painted her a rose? Ohhh bob, you're just the cutest thing and thank you for the compliment. There's always next Valentine's Day :)

I didn't actually start drinking any more than that until I had left school and was earning my own money - although that was at age 16. I think it's at least partly because of that relaxed and rational approach to drinking that my "wild phase" was both relatively short lived and (by some people's standards) really not that wild, and I have since never had any issues with alcohol. Well, not with my own consumption, anyway.

I had my 'wild' phase' when I was 15/16, and am now a responsible drinker (except occasionally).

Perhaps untill untill Uni that is!

Well there is also this one, can I wish you a happy valentines, and for your year ahead I wish you nothing but fun, happiness, success and contentment. If you don't get that then I am available for a shag. If you like. Don't worry the dog will keep an eye out, and a prostate as I kicked seven bails out of her last night [joke]

P.S. I am a very good shag. Although not well endowed I can use my hands as well at the same time, which makes it seem bigger than it is.

And that my friends in good night, this is reasonably co-herant (sp) so I will bid you anon, even if you are in American and just getting up, whilst I go to bed, which is weird.

Sunny - Happy Valentines, I KNOW you will get very nice man attention in the next 30 days from someone with his won teeth and clean boxers ! You lucky thing !

I have had various dogs all my life and they have all been excellently behaved and very well trained. None of them have ever been 'beaten'. Frankly, I believe that anyone who thinks that the only way of training a dog is through violence has some issues. Or hasn't been shown other methods.

When we were training Hollie, we had a bottle full of lemon juice. When she had done something wrong, we would squirt some of the lemon juice into her mouth. She hated it, but it caused no harm to her at all. After two weeks, we didnt even need to squirt it in her mouth, just show her the bottle. She soon associated the nasty taste with what was wrong and stopped doing it.

Unless you are planning on doing a lot of off-roading / driving up a Scottish mountain, then i see no reason why you would need a land rover from any decade.

You speak sense, my dog is also Holly, believe me I am not beating her, I do however use my voice like the bottle, that is all.

I do plan on doing some off roading, but only muddy stuff, I need to tow stuff and go up a 1 in 3 at worst. Pre 72 is tax exempt is all.

Night mate, hope you have a good day.

Haha! I love your late-night, most likely drunken posts, bob. I could use your well wishes, believe me and I am glad to hear you're a talented fellow. That said, I am only 8 hours behind you so while you were typing this, it was midnight or so your time and only 4 in the afternoon mine! I go to sleep when you are waking up. That's why I only get an hour or so of Moyles before beddy-bye. Happy Valentine's Day to you!!! xxx

Making me smile today is the fact that Viv doesn't really have any topics to create. Usually her head is full of topics, but not today. :-)[/quote]

The Valentine card I received. It's from a friend, but he did things properly and didn't sign it, and then denied knowledge when I texted him to thank him. It made me smile. Also the fact that we won the pub quiz last nite, the lovely host kissed me on the hand when I gave him a birthday card, and then he played Total Eclipse of The Heart and my team all sang along to it and swayed sitting at our table. It was a beautiful moment *sniff*

I had the misfortune of seeing bonnie tyler live a couple years ago (she played at a Jasper Carrott gig, randomly) and as well as sounding terrible, she seemed to be drunk. I reckon my quiz team did a better job at the song than her.

I prefer the Amateur Transplants version above anyway.

I'd like to see Jasper Carrott though.
