I don't follow fashion, and I don't buy 'hideous' clothes. I just mainly go for what feels nice, what it looks like is a secondary concern at best - they do generally look alright though (how can you go wrong with jogging trousers and a t-shirt?).

You could go wrong if your jogging trousers are full of holes.

Seriously tho', I don't follow fashion either.. I do what I like/want. I like my jeans best & sweatshirts... a thing I do like is flowers at the back of my hair, so I normally look like a walking plant really. Excellent stuff.

Unlike some particularly odd people I know, I don't buy trousers that have holes in them.

Console wearing jogging bottoms while not jogging is disgusting, you are wearing what used to be a chav in the 1999s tracksuit.

That's not disgusting at all. They are comfortable, so all power to him.

I recall when VB had a stab at an ill-fated solo career and she wore a fake lip ring and girls rushed out to copy her not realising that it was a fake. They then complained on the tv that they'd had their lip pierced and undergone the pain for nothing. 1) It doesn't even hurt that much, stop being a baby; 2) they just come out, you know and 3) why are you copying Victoria beckham anyway??

Like I said, I don't follow fashion. They feel comfortable, anything else is mostly irrelevant.

Good for you!! More people should be like this. When I'm in by myself, and no-one's about, I often go about in my nightshirt. So what.

Actually, I've just thought of something else, which I would quite like opinions on. Obviously, at work, I can't wear my jeans or I would do, but I have actually been told off in the past for wearing flowers at the back of my head... does anyone actually have a right to tell me off for this? After all, it wouldn't make the quality of work less. Just wondered.

Yes, I'm sure they do, because employers have a right to impose a dress code. I'm sure they can say anything within reason.

But this isn't about actual DRESS. It's about hair clasps, which is ridiculous.

I'm lucky in that I work for an arts centre and my hair, tattoos and piercings are all accepted. But we still have a dress code (as I type I am wearing our attractive customer-facing uniform purple sweater which my ex said made me look like a ribena berry) and yep, if an organisation wants to stipulate what you can or can't do with your hair then they have that right. Their answer would be if you don't like it, go and work somewhere else. It sucks, but such is life.

Has anyone seen the posters in Accessorize this month? They have a picture of a little 6/7 year old girl wearing far too much make up, it's disturbing. 8O

i have a self imposed dress code of only shirts with collars at work. most of the library staff here dress fairly casually, some where suits, yet others wear dirty jeans and t-shirts. i try to be mid-grade. when i got my tattoo on my arm i had a momentary panic about not getting jobs, but i realized it was pointless since- a: i had the damn thing, and b:lots of my colleagues get away with ugly tattoos on their arms. i probably won't work in the corporate because i hate dress codes that are overly strict. though, i had to laugh when one of my student workers was upset that i asked her to not wear her gym clothes to work. i told her it's a moderate sign of respect for the place that gives her money.

6 year olds in makeup? gross.

At that age, she shouldn't be wearing any at all. Good grief.

I was never allowed to wear make-up till I was 15. At my school, you see all the year 7 and 8 chavvy kids plastered in it. Orange, with lots of blusher. It looks hilarious.

I started wearing make-up when I was 14/15 but then and now I rarely wear more than some concealer, eyeliner and mascara. If I'm going out I might have some blusher, lippy and eyeshadow but if it takes longer then 3 mins to do I get bored and give up.

Make up costs me (my mum) alot, my foundation is 23 pound but it is really good, mascara is a must and so is bronzer to give me a darker complexion and eye liner to highlight my eyes, oh oh oh and lip gloss to make my lips look thicker.

Cat at your age (and when you're not yellow) you shouldn't need foundation! It's bad for your skin honey.

It isn't bad for your skin if you cleanse, tone and moisturise every night, it all depends on skin conditions and pores anyway.

You havn't seen me with out make-up and i believe every girl above the age of 16 looks better with make up, it is their decision if they want to wear it or not, of course, but that doesn't mean they look better with out it.
