Always wanted to know something about the show? This is the place to 'Ask Aled'!

Funny you should ask that. I had a dream the other night that they brought car-park catchphrase back.

Aled, do you think you will ever pick up my pm during this lifetime, regarding listeners creating jingles? It's kind of, like, become a permanent feature in my "outbox".

Have you tried emailing the show?

I thought up a jingle a couple of weeks ago. I thought it was good but the team would probably think its crap.

Aled.

This interests me.

Both Kate Nash and Bass hunter were either number two or number one in the charts before I heard them on the play list of Radio one day time shows. I thought at the time that as I liked both that in some way Radio 1 had missed the boat with there two artists, and commercial radio was showing there impact.

As that is negative I wouldn't bring it up on it's own, but with Duffy at number one, an Artist I have heard about only recently though Jo's show, I was wondering....

Does it bother you ? i.e. are you in some way criticized when the play list team "miss" and again are you congratulated when you "discover" a talent which then gets to number one.

I know you have mentioned before you like to hear opinions of what music people like, but as I rather lazily really on Radio on between 7 and 7 to inform me of what music is about, I am interested to know what element of "prophecy" you are charged with in your role of choosing what the Nation listens too.

Do you seriously think he's going to say no? He blatantly does anyway.

Just a quick one mate if thats ok.

Do you think Chris Moyles Is funny?

Honestly.

hehe - can't help but wonder if it was worth going to all the effort of joining the forum for that! Maybe it's just me though!

Aled, I'm not even going to bother asking for Xbox live tags but do you play COD4 or is that more Chris than yourself? If you do play it - what level are you? Are you looking forward to GTA4 and/or Battlefield: Bad Company?

I don't reeeeally know why I'm asking - it just makes me look like a geek but whatever, for some reason I can't think of anything to ask.

Love the show,

Aled,

Firstly, I just want to tell you that my mum (and I) think you're fab. So much that my mum always says "If I had a son, i'd love it if he was like Aled... he's such a cutie" (where as I was always told to go to my room).

Anyways, just a random question first: Have you and your hubby ever ventured down to Brighton for a night out and if not, would you?

Secondly: Who is your idol? (if you have one that is?)

Thanks!

Keep up the good work!

Aled,

Do you think that Chris really knows what most other fan forums are like, or is he just making assumptions?
I have seen many other fan sites that have been so much more harsh on the thing they are supposed to be promoting (I think the Foo Fighters forum especially after their last few albums).

It just makes me sad that so many positive posts about the show are ignored whilst there are a few negative ones which are all that Chris seems to see. Of course on the internet people are going to hide behind their anonymity - it's the same with the texts you receive from listeners every day - not everyone is 100% positive, and i'm sure it's a much higher percentage of negativity than the small ammount of constructive criticism we give on here.

I think that Chris doesnt really 'get' the fact that the internet is nothing like real life, and takes everything seriously, which is easy to do if you don't take things with a huge pinch of sault!
Love the show, keep up the good work!

Ooh
I did not know that :)
But still, I think it's natural to take what people say on your own fansite out of context - especially as the internet has changed so much since back when he was posting.

Given that he spent a considerable amount of time posting to newsgroups in 1996 and 1997, I imagine he does :)

Yeah I remember there being an archive of posts with him in it. Was/is that on his site or a different one. I know he used to exchange and discuss jingles with people. I seem to remember him being very interested in some of the american DJs.

I think your talking rubbish, I mean the great thing about the internet and texts is that you can be 100% honest because there can be no backlash. If you were face to face talking to someone and you didnt like something about them you wouldnt outright say it "unless your that way inclined" you would just be polite. Whereas on the internet and with text messages you can say what you think freely and know that you wont be judged for it.

So wind your neck in ;)

Riiiight.. So basically you agree with my point. An anonymous internet means some people don't feel the need to adapt to the social norms of real life because you don't attach your name to it. Thus, you are hiding behind your anonymity and agree with my point. ;)

Hey Mr Rustybike

Please say hi to your mum for me, she sounds great :)

I have often venutred down to Brighton for nights out, several birthdays in fact with or without my hubby - more often without if I was honest - I always seem to get drawn in by Revenge and the pop room.

My idol - I have qualities that I respect in many people that I try to live up to rather than one person that holds them all. David Dimbleby for his knowledge and immense presenting capabilities, Rupert Murdoch for his business, Madonna for creativity, Jonathan Ross for his wit and my Gran for her respect of other people.
