I'm really liking One Republic's latest song, and also the one by Rihanna has a good beat to it (don't laugh). I also still love Something Good by Utah Saints, even though I normally frown upon things being re-released for no apparent reason.

On the radio 1 playlist it's probably The Futureheads - Beginning of the Twist.

However, I mostly listen to Radio 1 after 7pm and my favourite song is Wiley - Wearing My Rolex.
Ebony Bones is probably my favourite new artist right now :)

charlalottie wrote:I quite like Rockstar, if it's on the radio is pleasant enough to listen to. I'm loving the Futureheads new song "The Beginning of the Twist". Not sure when it comes out or if it's being played on R1 but I keep hearing it on Xfm and I love it. Also quite like Hadouken's "Leap of Faith" which is surprising cos they are quite a shite band.

The Futurehead's new one is being played on radio 1 and was Scott Mills' record of the week, and Hadouken! make good music, I've been to see them twice (the crowd are very chavvy though).

I am liking all the Wombats songs partly because I saw them last night. :D

I like Kanye West, he makes great music, the best song on the album has to be 'Flashing Lights'.

Finally, the best song on the Radio 1 playlist at the moment is the Feeling, 'I Thought It Was Over'.

Hadouken! are great, i've seen them a couple of times too. Although I prefered Party Shank - their support act! Have you heard Hadouken!'s mixtape? It's ace!

Yeah I got it for free when they were less well known, I believe you have to pay for it now 8)

You do, but you'd have thought they'd have made that memory stick copy-protected!

Moyles didnt seem to have a clue who they were (and slated them a bit by going all sarcastic when hearing that they were taking over Zane's show for a day). That annoyed me a bit as I think he should have given them a chance. He seems to only like the bands that have a bit of a name for themselves, which I guess is a valid viewpoint but maybe a little insensitive.

Maybe if he was a bit more open to less-known bands he wouldnt like those 'quirky' overhyped pop bands like the Hoosiers and Scouting for Girls (just my opinion :D)

This seems a bit anti-Moyles, so i'd better ballance it out a bit...

I love the Chris Moyles show. I love the Chris Moyles show. I love the Chris Moyles show. :D

I'm going to see them next month. I saw them last year as well, they're a very good live band - a lot better than the album suggests.

we're a college radio station, run by volunteers. we try to play stuff you won't hear on other radio stations, so we play lots of underground and indie music. the wombats were relatively big in college radio circles, but that doesn't translate to the general population. it's an indicator that they could be big,
