It's because in the world of forums, block capitals means your shouting and as we're not deaf, you don't need to shout. Plus, there is no actual reason to write in capitals.

If you don't like the rules in the forums then why not go make your own forum and then you can write however you want! Failing that stick to the rules and then the admins won't need to edit your posts and so you won't need to moan!
