The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

Now i know this will touch a few nerves with people on here... But am i the only one who thinks Chris Moyles is broadcasting the same old crap ? I have been listening for the good part of 3 Years and the show was quite funny, but now it seems to be the same guests over and over and Chris is becoming a very rude person on air (To most of the team and anyone who's not either gay or goodlooking ). he is also obsessed! with TV, he's a Radio presenter not a TV Presenter .. i know he say's its the way "He Is" but i think the show has gone down hill over the past 6-8 months and i know im not the only one out there who thinks this way. i've noticed even the team are pretending to laugh at not so funny jokes... my question is : Is it time for Chris Moyles to move on > ? and another presenter to come in (Vernon Kay. Chris Evans. or even Dom and Dave) > ?

So let me get this straight...you joined a Chris Moyles FANsite to ask if the FANS of the show think that Chris should stop presenting the show? Either you are mad or Im looking at this post the wrong way.

The show is just not entertaining lately... maybe its down to the presenter to pull his finger out and get some new material which is interesting and funny...

i know im not the only one who thinks this...

No

Oddly, I disagree with you. I'm sure there are plenty of folk that think similar about Mr Moyles. However, the chances of them being on a fansite are relatively slim.

You may not be the only one who thinks this but joining a fan site to slag off the person the site is about is not the way to make yourself popular.

I was assuming that, as the question was asked was on a fansite, it was directed only at us, not at the general public.

Hmm let's see. As for at someone would post things like that on here... Well I've already explained it elsewhere and I'm buggered if I'm gonna confuse poor drunk TIAL all over again just for a cheap laugh.

And as many on here will know I too went through a phase a short while ago. I said almost the exact same thing in that I felt that last year the show had been better and more structured and easy to follow and to tune in at any moment to.

However it was something Chris said about his coverage of the Brits that made me think differently so I'll steal his analogy here if I may.

If you have Steak (insert name of your favourite food for the pedantic amongst you) to eat every single day then you become pretty blasé about it and while it's still great you can long for a bowl of porrige (same rules apply) and you would become an steak bore, "this steak isn't as good as the one I had last week" and invariably the further back in time something is the better it looks. This is a rule that applies to almost everything, from childhood holiday resorts to ex-partners and even the CMS. So (back to the steak analogy) you belief the steak you had in the past was better even though there's actually very little difference. The steak has harldy changed, only your reaction to it.

I don't belief I have hears team members fake laughing at the jokes so I have to disagree with you on that one. As for Moyles being rude to people, that's pretty much what he's known for doing!

I don't honestly think it's time for Moyles to move on and as for his replacements from the list you've given, good god! Dave and Dom are funny but work best with Moyles as a lynchpin holding them together. Vernon I don't think is strong enough to do it and has too many tv commitments and CHRIS EVANS? ARE YOU SERIOUS? You say Moyles has been doing the same thing for months but Evans has been doing it for decades. I was really excited when he got that late night TV show but it was crap! I've heard his radio2 show a bit as well and that's not much better either. He really is doing the same stuff he did in 1994!

So there's my polite, well structured, constructive criticism against your point, however because we have a certain reputation to uphold with regard to new people here...

At least the person who posted this opinion isn't being personally abused, offended (well, apart from the head in a pig thing, but I think that was a joke.....I think.....) and ultimately banned simply for holding and voicing an opinion which the owner of the site and his adoring minions don't share.

As for jayuk22 - well, personally I have found the show brillinat this year so far, and I've been listening to him since he was on earlies. His style has definitely changed somewhat, but he has got older, his life, personality and outlook have all developed and moved on - and his show is always going to be about him, rather than the music, so it's inevitable that this will happen.

Thing is, not everyone can possibly enjoy the same things. Thankfully, for those who have grown away from what Chris does on the radio, there is choice out there. Jayuk22, there's no law that says you have to listen to Chris Moyles if you don't like him! So take your head out of that pig, and tell us who you like to listen to. We'll probably disagree with you, but that's ok isn't it, after all, it's what you started out doing to us....?!

Ballbag was trolling. He'd made his comments clear about his dislike for UM from day one and then decided to register and stir under a few different usernames. He was even put on probation on Aled's site so I wouldn't say it was just UM.

Not at all. The Breakfast show has changed over time, but it's not past it. It's just natural progression.

If you don't want an "essay", go on the BBC forum.. they're all 12 year old kiddies who can't string a sentence together. I'd say that may be why lots of them agree with you (if indeed they did.)

Wait, you're annoyed that you came here and someone actually bothered to come up with an insightful reply?

If you tell us the sort of reply you are expecting then perhaps we can tailor our responses to suit you better.

Jay do you have any idea how depressing it must nbe for Chris to come home after a hard days show presen ting to read this sort of thing? He must be really quite upset that his own listeners are so unappreciative. Please rememebr Chris is a human being with feelings,in fact he's quite sensitive.I bet sometimes when he reads comments like yours he is tempted to just not turn up to do the next days show.-and then you would soon be calling for him to come back!
