I was out walking my dog one evening, and was watching a train go by, when suddenly this voice said "They do go fast dunnem"! I turned round to see a local who must have been hiding in the bushes or somewhere?? He then followed that up with " I went Lundun once, cor tis busy up there in it"!

Twernt far from Yovil wher I did see im, but dont think e ad ever bin dere!

I remember, twas out the back Charlton Mackrell where I did see im.

Dont think he had ever met a Cheel ! Dus know wot one of dem be??

Actually we dont speak like that (he says in cultured voice)! But i do remember some of the older farming folk who did. Mind you most of them drunk some pretty wild Home Brewed Cider in the 60's. Ah, Harry Inder, now he was a Cider brewer of some note.
