But yeah thanks for the reminder Viv in da house :)

You're welcome, timps!! :-) I, like many others, love the Apprentice. This year, it's gonna be tougher than ever apparently. The "viv in da house" thing is me trying to get into the R&B "vibe", as Madonna's next album will be R&B. :-)

Sir Alan Buggar can be quite articulate in the boardroom from what I've seen, he was moaning about how he was being portrayed as the bad guy. Its true what he says about his little catchphrase too. "You're fired" isn't all its cracked up to be anymore, he wants to start saying things like "Clear off". I could think of more profound things he could say, but they'd have to be bleeped.

I'm going to rinse this series, as it'll be on the Iplayer this year. :)
I used to not bother watching because I kept missing it. Can't wait!

I think he would actually be OK, providing a person was a genuine hard worker...!! There is even a pen, saying "you're fired"!!

My mum was saying that his aides were on Breakfast TV talking about how the people mistakenly thought just "looking the part" is enough, when, in fact, Sir A. looks for much, much more. :-)

It's where Mrs Topher lives, in Bedfordshire.

Nice :-) I don't know what to make of the candidates so far. The leader of the guys team last night I wasn't too sure of at all.

The car dealer woman is annoying.. agreed totally. Also, the woman who acted as Team Leader (cannnot remember the name) is so irritating too. A poor Team Leader last week as well.

Probably one for the smile/laugh thread but its more to do with this, Charlie Brooker is a leg end.

"Lurking deep within everyone's brain are two interdependent creatures. One's an insecure, quivering homunculus; the other a needy egomaniac. So long as they both take turns pulling the levers, everything works out OK. But the balance is a fine one. The homunculus thrives on negative feedback. Deprive it of a regular slagging, and it eventually withers and dies, leaving the egomaniac to take over. At which point you're swaggering around thinking you're it, describing yourself as a "red-shelf player" and so on. Cruising for a bruising. Swerving your speedboat into the rocks with an insouciant grin on your chops."

He is indeed a legend. Do you watch Screen Wipe? It's one of my favourite TV shows.

I met him at Glastonbury too, so can now die happy. He wasn't having a great time, as you can imagine - the Guardian had forced him to go!

Yeah I just like his style, that show has become an in-depth viewing session for me whenever I hear its back for another series. A bit like what Harry Hill does, but its for grown-ups, I do hope he rises from this underrated BBC4 status he has now, and moves onto much-deserved bigger and better things.

Heres how he burst onto screens with first Screen Wipe:

Did anyone see the "Apprentice" last night? It is absolutely appalling, I think, that Team Leader Jenny has been allowed to remain in the Show. Why does she persist in talking to blonde Lucinda as though she were about 10 years old. 8O

The boys' team thoroughly deserved their win last night! :-)

Yeah, I was shocked that she got the boot and the team leader didn't. I do think, however, that Alan has a soft spot for people with thick-skin who put up a good fight in the board room.
The boys did brilliantly - or should I say, the footage was edited to put the boys in a favourable light.

Yeah, you may be right there, "edited" to make them look good. :-)

He does seem to have a soft spot for someone with a bit "fire in the belly", but really, the woman just bloody obnoxious. I think she will be put out at some stage, as the personality clash with Lucinda is definitely going to continue.

Let's not forget, Alan Sugar doesn't watch the events - he just looks at the facts and therefore doesnt feel sorry for people when they shed a tear. I'd imagine that, on paper, Jenny didn't come out terribly badly but we want her to go because she came across as a bit of a bully.

She is a bully!! Baaa!! Ok, Sir Alan doesn't watch the events, but he does have a couple of aides who see all too clearly what's going on. If I had been Margaret, I would have advised Sir A. to get rid of Jenny immediately. I noted Margaret did say that Jenny was so focused on being Team Leader that "she couldn't look sideways" (agreed).

Good point, but most of the bullying happened when they were in the taxi. Margaret wouldn't have been around to see any of that.

Yeah the apprebtice was so good last night...it's such a good TV programme, edited perfectly and shot beaudtifully, and I agree Jenny should have gone.
There was even bullying going on in the boardroom TIAL, and I think Sir Alan had a good idea about what had been going on....but Sir Alan had his reasons.
Jenny isn't going to win anyway.
I think Raef did really well leading the boys team.

Some people have been discussing on the radio as to whether Shazia was fired to keep the tension going between the other two. The cynic in me thinks this might be true!

Raef came out well last night, he can be a bit of a nob at times but he's not so bad really.
