If you knitted three or four of those you could juggle with them.

OK, two episodes in and I'm liking it so far although the foreshadowing is a little heavy handed : "missing planets", "medusa cascade" and something on Donna's back mentioned so far.

I've a feeling it's all leading up to the return of the homicidal pepper pots and, if rumours are to be believed, another baddy from the original series.

I understand that the Doctor (David Tennant) has been given his P45 by his girlfriend... tired of being 2nd place to the Tardis?

Foots is mine!

I think they are arguing about the rodent that is David Tennant. He looks like a surprised weasel.

I'll be yours if you wish. Best offer i've had this year anyways. :?

Maybe you could replace Tennant as the Doctor foots? After last night's clanging hint, I'm thinking that the story about there being 3 specials next year and not a series as Tennant's doing something else is a red herring, I can see a regeneration happening at the end of this series.

But isn't he like the 10th doctor and they can only have 13(?) they should make sure they get someone who's gonna last so they can keep it going a bit longer.

I was well aware of that, I'm not that dim. And now that you mention it he does kinda look like a surprised weasel.

I believe some geek (Bruvva?) told me that he now has the power to regenerate as many times as he wants! Talk about a get out of jail free card!

Cheeky moo. Wasn't me - and he doesn't. However...The Master had exceeded his 12 regenerations back in the Tom Baker days so it's a fairly easy thing to get round if they really want to.

Anyway, if they're not going to kill this incarnation off, what was the ood on about when he said "your song will end soon"? Oh, and the bees - or lack of them - were mentioned again.

*buts into conversation*

The only reason the time lords could only regenerate a certain number of times was because their lords had decided that. Since Galifrey has been destroyed there is now (in theory) nothing to stop the doctor or the master regenerating as many times as they want to.

That's a seriously scary level of Doctor Who knowledge but an interesting point nonetheless.

I don't think that that is correct, I think there's a physical limit (well, as much of a physical limit you can have in a fictional show using a fictional process). Being quite nerdy here, when the Doctor was on trial (for what, I can't remember now) he was being tried (as it was later discovered) by a future incarnation of himself. This future incarnation was on his last regeneration and was trying to steal regenerations from his earlier self so that he could go on living.

The master also ran out of regenerations at one point, he only carried on living because he took a human as a host for his spirit - this host was sucked into a black hole within the TARDIS. The Time Lords then resurrected him somehow to fight in the Time War.

Im not convinced Console. I remember reading somewhere about it being possible for the doctor to regenerate as often as he wishes due to the council being gone. Ill have a look and if I find it again ill post more here.
