Hi everyone,

A Canadian who's been listening faithfully to the show for quite a few years and coming on this site too, however it's my first post.

Quick question:

I did some some extensive searching on this site, including the sound vault to no avail. Does anyone know the name of the musical piece Chris uses sometimes (usually to have a go at someone from the team), I remember he used it once while tormenting Carrie when Liverpool won on penalties to Chelsea.

If I could describe it it starts with a strong beat of what I think are trombones and then the strings kick in a bit after, no vocals in it either. I know it's not the 'Clair de Lune' tune, on the contrary it's very powerful.

Any ideas?

Was it the same piece that Chris used as the backing to his Liverpool clip montage for Dom when they won the Champions league in '05? If so, its from the Romeo and Juliet OST.

If it's the theme from Romeo and Juliet theme by Nino Rota/Henry Salomon you're referring to then you can download it from here (right click choose save link/target as and download, don't stream it).

I think i've figured this one out. Took me long enough though.

I believe it is the theme from the British version of "The Apprentice"

The music used is a classical piece called "Peter and the wolf"

It's a well known piece so should b easy to find!

Evening all,just reviving this particular thread. Going back to the subject of the classical piece that was the background to the Liverpool clip montage for Dom, when they won the Champions league in '05: does anyone know what that piece was? They played it on Classic FM today and their website reckons it was the balcony scene from Romeo & Juliet - but I just downloaded that from iTunes and it isn't

If anyone else is even remotely interested,the background to the 2005 Liverpool Champions' League Final commentary is a track called "Balcony Scene"by Craig Armstrong, on his album "The space between us".
