Did you not see any national newspaper for the last week? You couldn't move down here for adverts saying the wii fit was out. My local woolies has completely covered all 10 windows with bilboard sized adverts for it. Every vaguely electrical retailer has been giving out flyers and running adverts.

It's been a bit understated but you just have to keep you eye out for these things.

The only decent games concole is the Xbox 360, Which is absolutely amazing :D Wii is a good concept but I'm not sure weather it has any decent games, They all seem very childish !

Tom, you've obviously not played much on the Wii. Nintendo does try to kepe their games kids friendly (because they know parents are more willing to buy the system than an XBox or PS3), but they're still quite good. Zelda was fun, Smash Brothers is great, and Mario Kart will be up there, too. There's just not to much blood.

Yes you are right, I don't play on them very much due to the fact that i don't have one ! I'm not saying it's a bad thing, i'm just saying it's not my kinda thing :D

Ah I see. Epic fail. :D

I guess i've not really paid attention to whatever advertising there's been as I don't have a Wii. It's certainly not been as densely promoted in Oxford.

Woolworths in Central Milton Keynes have changed the signage on the shop entrances to say "Wiiworths".

The Wii (in my opinion) is the most innovative console there's been in years.. traditionally (though not much of a gamer myself), I've always erred towards Playstations, but what the Wii have done with their controller blows anything else out of the water. Also, Nintendo don't seem to take themselves too seriously, like Sony and Microsoft do.

Wii is definitely more innovative as far as user-interface/and interaction goes. PS3 is more innovative in terms of hardware, though the programmers haven't caught up with the chips. I was planning on getting an XBox360 in June. Maybe I'll see how this whole job thing pans out.

Is this a joke? Have I really been oblivious to what seems like a huge marketing campaign?
If so, I congratulate myself. :D

Not a joke:

Observer | Wii's healthy boost for retailers wrote:Woolworths is going even further to hype the launch, rebranding key stores Wiiworths.

Of course, your local Woolworths may not be classed as a "key" store.

The one here's probably done that as well but that would envolve rasing my head and no-one in London does that for fear of catching someone's eye the wrong way and getting stabbed for it.

When the Simpsons Moovie came out on DVD they changed the O's to doughnuts....not actual ones though.
