Thanks Yudster, I'm not really bothered about this subject any more. I will always try to keep my spelling and grammar at a suitable level, so the other member can read my comment. I will not go out my way to make my spelling and grammar perfect but i will always try !

I care, and you should care about that ...

This is true.

However - I believe that note should be made of the recent spate of good posts offered by tom greeni - it has been noticeable to me that he is doing a lot less spamming and actually contributing in several threads. Also, he clearly HAS made an effort with his spelling and grammar and made a significant improvement - whilst still not perfect, he is now a long way from being the worst offender on the boards.

Seconded.

You should care that you know how to write and spell properly, you should also care that the guy that runs the site is keeping an eye on you. However, don't pay too much attention to daft abuse you get from other members.

Just re-read whatever you are about to post and make sure it makes sense.

Yea I agree with that, but why is he being singled out?

A good question. Probably cos he is young. Possibly cos he kept doing it. Or cos he complained about it.

I agree that spelling and grammer are important, but there is a line that needs to be drawn between pointing out a mistake and picking on someone.

The problem is this:

If it was acceptable for him to use spelling and grammar as he saw "suitable" then I think this kid will have problems in the future ("Id Lik a Job Pleaze").

Nobody needs to be perfect, but he's persistently bad, far too righteous about anyone who vaguely says he is fine the way he is, and - more than anything - annoying.

You shouldn't be afraid. The fact that certain standards are insisted upon on these boards is a massive plus point.

Basically the way to make the change from the Stringer to the song sound seamless is to make sure the bass lines don't clash, The computer will slow the stringer down so It's bass line is in time with the song. This then gives the effect that the change was seamless and it all ends up sounding jolly good !

Why is everyone getting their knickers in a twist? You see I would look at this and think 'Cleaver' is a typo, he meant 'Clever' surely?

Only that if you had been around a bit longer (or made the effort to read the forums from before you joined) you would know what a daft question that was - and probably not bother to ask it.

Or Maybe I don't take message boards that seriously? MAYBE I have been reading the forum for years years now so what's how long I have been here got to do with anything?

Because you would know that tom greeni's English in his posts is dreadful, which is very annoying.

I don't think it's unreasonable to ask people to spell properly.. the odd typo is tolerable by anyone, but as Yudwuk says, had you read more of his posts, you'd have realised that he is a terrible at spelling and grammar. Also, had you read more posts in general (as in generally read more posts, not specifically confined to the 'General' forum), you'd know that at least trying to spell correctly and use good English is a must on this forum if you don't wish to be shouted at (and don't want to look like a complete retard.)
