I've got that OCD....I hate "Mark all forums as read" though...I may miss something important.

I always mark the sound clip request forum read, can't be bothered to look at all that rubbish.

So now the fact that you have been too busy to bring us news actually makes it into your news?! This IS a great thread.

Yuds please stop picking on him, you had to click on this thread, so secretly I think you yearn for a bit of Ian news action in your life.

No idea what the implications are for London, not being a resident or worker there, but Boris is always entertaining, so I'm happy.

It'll certainly be interesting to see the changes Boris makes, I know quite a few people who really hate Ken and want Boris in - let's hope they aren't disappointed!

Some bookies have already paid out on Boris...the official result hasn't been announced yet so I'll just wait for now....

Can't stand Boris...yes he's funny but is funny what you want from a guy in charge of a £39billion transport regeneration budget?

Well, Boris is officially Mayor of London.

Let's just hope he doesn't screw up as much as Ken did.

How did Ken screw up? Everyone I know who lives in London and many others who work there seem to think he has done a brilliant job over the long time he has been in office? No-one can stay popular for ever in politics and it was always inevitable that his term would end one day, but on the whole I thought he had been a popular and successful mayor.

I thought Ken was a good mayor as well and I think a lot of people voted for Boris for his name rather than his reputation as a politician. Having said that, his suggestion that Labour should remove Gordon Brown with David Miliband isn't necessarily a bad one, I don't think. Though the word "quietly" doesn't really come into it when replacing a Prime Minister.
